Vacation Rental Description

Yosemite Skyway is located on the National Sierra Vista Scenic Byway (632) just off the Southern Yosemite Highway (HWY 41), and 1 hour from the Yosemite International Airport. Surrounded by the Sierra National Forest, Yosemite Skyway has access to all those activities of mountains, sun, lakes, and streams, and back country trails. It's a great place to be spring, summer, fall or winter - a great place for backpacking. AND Yosemite is just up the road. Two giant Sequoia Groves are within a short drive - one off HWY 41, the other on The Scenic Byway. Three golf courses are nearby.

Although centrally located Yosemite Skyway is quiet and peaceful - a separate home, out of the hustle and bustle, yet just minutes away.

The Yosemite Skyway consist of three separate houses (cabins). Each one has deck with a BBQ and a great view of a forested meadow that is on the property. Blacktail deer can be frequently seen. Each cabin is complete with living room, TV, sofa hide-bed; kitchen, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, refrigerator; full bath; 2 bedrooms with one queen each, and a scenic view with meadow or garden.

You are located in a peaceful, quiet neighborhood only minutes from a wealth of activities. Yosemite Skyway is located less than one mile from the Southern Yosemite Highway and is on the National Sierra Vista Scenic Byway, the doorstep to the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the Sierra High Country where you can hike, bike, climb, fish, and take wonderful scenic photographs. The National Sierra Vista Scenic Byway leads to the Ansel Adams Wilderness access - rugged mountains, cold clear streams, and stunningly beautiful lakes. For those water enthusiasts Bass Lake, one of California's premier resort lakes, is just around the corner - ten minutes away. Go there for swimming, fishing, boating, sailing, and just basking in the sun. Or visite one of the Lakes restaurants or art galleries. Winter activities include cross country skiing, downhill skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, and ice skating. Skate on the ice where the stars of yesteryear skated.Tours are available summer and winter. The nearest Yosemite Touring Company is three minutes away.

Yosemite Skyway is centrally located, only minutes away from lots of restaurants - American and Ethnic - with fine dining from 5 star to fast food. For entertainment there are cinemas and live theater. There are plenty of shops for groceries, hardware, antiquing, car shows, boat shows, and souvenirs sites. Southern Yosemite area is home to lots of artists and you can find their work in the local galleriers for viewing or puchase. Art shows are scheduled around the year. Madera County is wine country. Take a scheduled wine tour - three times a year.

The Southern Yosemite Area is located at the southern end of the Golden Chain Highway, Highway 49, named for the Forty-niners of the California American Gold Rush of the 1850's. You can still visit the gold mines, pan for gold, see the sites of the early American Saw mills, ride The Logger - the Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad. It's just minutes from your doorstep at Yosemite Skyway.
