This Venice accommodation is a true find: a wonderful and romantic ground floor apartment, with a small patio and a water door opening on the Grand Canal, meaning your taxi can drive you back right to your apartment.

This apartment in Venice San Polo is furnished with antique Venetian furniture and a comfortable double bed on the mezzanine level; a modern bathroom with shower. Both the interior and the actual palazzo where it is located are extremely well kept.

This apartment in Venice San Polo is East of the Rialto Bridge over the other side of the Grand Canal. It’s the second most important area of the city in terms of historical importance in Venice. Here you’ll find the Frari Church, an excellent example of Venetian Gothic architecture, the Scuola Grande di S.Rocco, 16th century Renaissance building containing works by Tintoretto and the wonderful Campo San Polo which is one of the largest piazza’s in Venice. You’ll also find many good restaurants hidden away in the back streets that are frequented by the Venetians.

This is the second time we have come back to this place and it did not disappoint. Wonderful!Well appointed, close to vaporetto, clean. Great view of Grand canal.

Great location - sitting at the canal door waving to the vaporetti crowds, eating pizza, beautiful presentation of property, quiet and peaceful after the noisy throughfares. Local supermarket just around the corner, along with a great deli. Great quality pleace at a terrific price. I will be using Holiday Velvet again when booking my next European holiday.

James helped us make our decision on what part of Venice we should stay in and we said many times during our stay how thankful we were that he did! Our Stay at the Mini Palace was everything we could have hoped for, it's location is ideal. It's only a 10 minute stroll to the Rialto market to get everything you need to bring back to your fully stocked kitchen to make a great dinner. You're so close to everything, yet feel like you're all by yourself once you're in the apartment. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. Just make sure to watch your head upstairs! All in all we had an absolutely fantastic stay and would recommend this apartment to any couple wanting a romatic getaway!

Thank you for recommending the Mini Palace. We had a fantastic time, the apartment was perfect. Just the right size for a long weekend and located very close to a waterbus stop & with the local supermarket only round the corner it was ideal. The apartment was beautiful along with being clean & tidy and well stocked with towels, kitchen utensils etc. The only issue we had was on arrival in Venice we had been told that we would be met by the apartment owner. In fact you have to call a number, get a code and open a letter box. In it you will find the keys, map and directions to the apartment. The directions were not very clear to start with but manageable as we found the apartment!! Apart from this small issue Venice is fantastic and so picturesque, forget the guide book, just amble along and enjoy the many views.

The Mini Palace is the perfect romantic hideaway and located in a secure and secretive courtyard. The region of San Polo is great for walking and exploring with many good restaurants nearby, especially around Campo Santa Margherita (in Dorsoduro area but 10 mins from Mini Palace). The waterbus stop is within 2 minute walk from apartment on the Grand Canal which takes you to the main places of tourist interest. We stayed in mid December and found it ideal as Venice was not as crowded when in the peak seasons and still felt the build up to the Christmas festivities. We would highly recommend for either romantic seclusion or exploring the wonders of Venice by foot or water.

We were very pleased with the mini palace. It was beautifully furnished with a comfortable bed. We also did appreciate the outdoor patio area because my husband smokes a pipe and it was convenient for for him. Finding the place was a little difficult as all addresses in Venice are. We loved visiting your city

Cancellation Policy

More than 70 days: In case of cancellation of a confirmed booking with more than 70 days prior warning, 30% of the total rental is required

Within 69-35 days: The cancellation of a confirmed booking within 69-35 days of the rental period, the Client will be liable for the amount of 40% of the total rental price.
Within 34-20 days: In case of cancellation of a confirmed booking within 34-20 days of the arrival date, the Client will be liable for 70% of the total rental price.
Within 19-10 days: In case of cancellation of a confirmed booking within 19-10 days of the arrival date, the Client will be liable for 80% of the total rental price.
Within 10 days: In case of cancellation of a confirmed booking within 10 days of the arrival date, the Client will be liable for 100% of the total rental price.
If the client abandons the property, he loses all rights to any eventual refund or rebate.
If there's a "no-show" without the client giving prior warning to Holiday Velvet , the client is liable for 100% of the total booking amount.
Should you need to cancel the reservation due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, airline cancellation, ill health etc, the same cancellation conditions as stated here apply.
