Venice Apartment: Grand Canal

Slightly further out but still in the historical center, this vacation apartment in Venice offers fantastic views of the Grand Canal in a New York style loft apartment. Within 50 meters to every fast connection to the center including Rialto Bridge, Piazza San Marco, Biennale, Lido and Murano, you can be at your destination within 10 minutes.

This charming open plan Venice apartment has been recently restored using lovely new furniture, wooden beams throughout and a modern approach.

This vacation apartment has two large open areas. The first includes a well equipped cooking corner with glass dining table, double sofa bed, lovely wooden ceiling and great views of the Grand Canal. There is a separate bathroom with shower and the master double bedroom (or 2 single beds) has windows that also look out onto the Grand Canal. This bedroom also has ensuite bathroom with shower.

Climb the spiral staircase to go up to the second open space - a huge converted attic. Here you'll find a huge wooden ceiling with a second sofa bed and the TV color. There is air conditioning throughout and a second separate bathroom with shower.

This vacation apartment in Venice is in Santa Croce which is in the north-east of the city and here you have Piazzale Roma where the main bus terminal connects Venice to the mainland. Like Dorsoduro, Santa Croce has many narrow streets and little channels and is very close to the main important Venice sights, and is San Polo’s sister sestiere. Probably the least touristy area in Venice it tends not to be as expensive as other areas. In Campo San Giacomo dell’ Orio there are many great bars and one of the best (and most inexpensive) restaurants in Venice, La Zucca.
