Tuscany Villa: Enchanting Villa

Coppa di Sopra is an elegant and enchanting villa overlooking one of Tuscany's favorite valleys  - “Coppa di Sopra is a magical place. It seems like you’re on top of the world. We parked our car, walked down the steps and the view  - it took our breath away!”
 
This is a beautiful three bedroom fully restored stone house with lots of  charm and character.  The space both inside and out is the perfect place to relax and recharge your batteries. It is also perfectly located to visit many of Tuscany's wonderful hill towns and has  "the most" spectacular views ever.

The house is nestled along the hillside with a private wrap around terraces and set  within its own 10 acres of Tuscan landscap including olive groves and more.  The property has three good sized bedrooms with three bathrooms.  Two bedrooms each have double/queen  beds and the third bedroom has 2 twin beds. All have lovely views, although the master-bedroom and second bedroom have dual aspect picture windows. 

Besides an original bread oven, the kitchen has all the modern comforts of home - and all the utensils, silverware, plates etc to make your vaction truly home form home.  There are two working fireplaces and a pizzeria.  The living room area has a dramatic picture window (even more views), high beamed ceilings with old teracotta inserts and beautiful light fawn stone walls.  The dining table seats eight and is a perfect place for the early spring and autumn evenings.

Outside there are numerous terraces and areas to relax and for al-fresco dining whilst listening to the crickets and enjoying your own laughter and conversation whilst you experience Tuscan food and wine. THe pizza oven  is better than any BBQ for  cooking your perfect Italian feast.

This lovely house has all the benefits of being away from it all whilst just  a ten minute walk there is a lovely restaurant and in just a 10 minute drive, you have the  bustling ancient towns.

From here you can relax, unwind and enjoy the lovely scenery - or, there are day excursions to Cortona, Arezzo, Montepulcinao, Pienza, Assisi and more. Wine is a famous TuscaThe simple answer is that if you are planning to visit neighboring hill towns during your time here, then a car is recommended - and we can help you find one either in Rome, Florene or Arezzo.   There is though a train station at Camucia (below Cortona) and there are trains to Florence, Perugia, Assisi and Rome!, but for all other trips a car is recommended. Of course, you also have the option for a car a driver for one or more days if preferred. 

 

The closst town is Castiglion Fiorentino which has shops of every description, including small specialist food stores - like the local butcher, baker, fruit and othr local produce. In addition, Castiglion has many restaurants and abars suit all tstes and pockets and, of course a wonderful choice of ice cream parlours - perfect for the late night snack !

Then further on is Cortona, Arezzo, Montepulciano, Pienza, Siena, Assisi, The Chianti and much more besides.

Around the town of Cortona, there are many many lovel restaurants - again to suit all tastes and pockets.  There are many museums, churches, art shops and more to occupy your day. We can also arrange wine tours, cooking classes, truffle hunting and ceramic courses for you. Or, you may prefer other forms of relaxation

In Castiglion Fiorenitno there are tennis courts and other sporting activities. In Corotna, you will also find horse riding (for the proficient), and furhter on  golf course (26kms) and much more. There is also a new communal swimming pool in Castiglion Fiorentino or, for those who prefer a beach, just 25 minutes drive is Lake Trasimeno.

For those wanting more of the Dolce Vita, why not rent a scooter and explore some of the local areas. Better though for those who are aware of bikes and road sense. ?You might also like to  use some of your time here to explore the many vineyards or go on a wine tour (In English, French.Danish, German) and enjoy some of the superior wines Tuscany has to offer. Other activities in the include the  numerous festivals throughout the year. The most famous of these is the TuscanSun Festival in COrtona in August.
