WWW.NICKSKITHREEVALLESY.CO.UK Chalet Juba is a Three Valleys vacation chalet, positioned in the beautiful pine forests of La Tania at a height of 1400 metres and with snow cannons lining the runs down to resort you will always be able to ski back down. The new easy/green run home, Plan Fontaine, has been improved this summer and is only 50m from the chalet.

The village of La Tania is between Courchevel and Meribel in the Three Valleys area of France and is arguably the best and the largest ski area in the world. The village has access to the 3 Valleys area by 2 modern high speed lifts which then give you the option of skiing into Courchevel or Meribel (and onto Val Thorens). In normal conditions it is possible to ski from and back to the door of the chalet.

The centre of the village is accessed by a public elevator approximately five minutes walk from the chalet where the local ski shops are very helpful and there are a number of friendly bars, restaurants and shops.

I had the chalet built to my specification about 6 years ago and it can accommodate 12 people in 6 twin or double bedrooms, all have en-suite facilities, three also have balconies. If a whole group of 14 book the chalet we can make a further twin room available. There is always plenty of hot water for all the baths/showers and the interior of the chalet is a non-smoking area. The lounge has a wood-burning stove and plenty of space for everyone to sit comfortably on big leather sofas and relax after skiing. The large boot room on the ground floor has boot driers and there is also plenty of car parking space next to the chalet.

La Tania was purpose built for the Olympic Games in 1992 and has plenty of nice bars and restaurants with live music most nights of the week; Pizzas, Michelin Star Gourmet Food, Cocktail lounge, Savoyard Fayre (fondue, raclette), English Pub, Modern Euro/British Bistro.......

The Three Valleys
There is a modern Gondola and then a fast chair lift which whisks you to the top of the mountain in no time, this then gives you access to either the Meribel or Courchevel Valleys. At the end of the day there are 3 lovely tree-lined runs back to the resort and the blue has snow cannons all the way down. The new green run, constructed 2 summers ago, and 50m from the chalet, has since been improved making it even easier to get back at the end of the day.

The area is incredibly vast with nearly 400 miles of pisted runs, of which over 150 miles have snow cannons. We never get bored skiing the Three Valleys and many guests return each year.

We regularly ski to Val Thorens and the 4th Valley, Orelle in a day.
There is an incredible amount of off-piste skiing lasting days after snow-falls.
There is also a free bus service to Courchevel which operates until late evening.
