Vacation Rental Description

Take an acre and a peck of Southwest farmland - cool it with the strong breeze between the mountain and the Caribbean sea, and call it Villa Arcadia in Ft. Charles, Treasure Beach, St. Elizabeth Jamaica.

Steps away from your private pool, yards away from a cove beach, a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom house awaits you. Sleeps 5 - 2 in one, 3 in the other. It is fan cooled and includes a fully equipped kitchen, linens an entertainment area with books, music, movies and games.

In the back there is a charming sunset balcony. Millie, our excellent cook will spoil you with roast tubot, lobster, escovitch, curries and pumpkin soup, the real foods of Jamaica. She can also make a mean hamburger with a smile.

About Surfing Holidays Treasure Beach

There are many interesting trips you can arrange with local drivers. Millie and Teddy will help you. YS Falls is a lovely waterfall and park, Lover's Leap, Bamboo Avenue, Milk River baths, Appleton Rum factory tour, Black River boat ride (see real crocodiles) Pelican Bar and Little Ochie at Alligator Pond. For golfers, there's a great course in Mandeville, 1 hour away by car.

We are 2 hours from Montego Bay airport and will arrange airport transportation for you. There are also guides to take you fishing, scuba diving, kayaking. The nearest city is Black River, a half hour car ride. If you decide to rent a car, we can send driving directions. John Deere lives nearby and invites you to visit his Cajun Museum which is an invigorating hike up the mountain. Josh Stein is an excellent masseur who will travel to the house. His number is available at the Villa.

The charm of this area is that it is off the beaten track. It is in a series of small fising villages and farms. You can hike from Villa Arcadia to the beach at Billy's Bay and watch the fishing boats come in and treat yourself to a purchase of fresh fish and lobster. JAKE'S is a well known resort and is a 15 minute car ride. You can dine there, or at Jack Sprat's on the beach next door. There you'll hear some fine reggae and perhaps catch a live performance.
