Vacation Rental Description

Set in an secluded and tranquil location on the tiny island of Great Guana Cay, forty feet from the beautiful, turquoise Sea of Abaco and only five minutes walk to the glorious six mile long, soft coral sand beach on the Atlantic, this is the perfect ‘get away from it all’ situation.

The holiday villa in the Bahamas is set in its own private grounds, with sea frontage and use of a dock for boating and swimming. The cottage is designed in local, rustic Bahamian style and the decor is light and airy, with ceiling fans and central air conditioning.

There is a screened in porch and plenty of out side deck space, furnished with sun loungers, chairs and a gas barbeque. Each bedroom has a 5ft wide built in bed and a en-suite bathroom with shower and WC. The kitchen area is fully equipped with gas cooker, microwave, coffee maker and large refrigerator. The cottage is furnished in a 'casual beach house'style.

The holiday villa is on the ground floor and consists of two charming en suite bedrooms at the rear, each with a 5ft wide bed. There is a very attractive, large open plan living room at the front of the cottage, with a well equipped kitchen area adjacent to the dining area, which has lovely views to the south and west. Also in the front of the cottage is a screened-in porch which can be used as an outside dining room. The whole of the front of the cottage has an eleven foot wide deck and a smaller side deck with roof, all comfortably equipped to a very high standard.

The holiday villa in the Bahamas is located on a tiny bay and is very secluded. It is only 5 minutes walk to the other side of the island where the Atlantic ocean beach is truly georgous and provides one of the best surfing breaks on the island. The views of the beautiful Sea of Abaco, from the top deck are breathtaking.

Great Guana Cay is in the area known as the Abacos, at the north east end of the Bahamas. It is approximately seven miles long and about half a mile wide. The world’s third longest barrier reef lies about half a mile off shore on the Atlantic side, where the diving and snorkelling is spectacular. For those keen on fishing, there is a huge variety to be caught, including bone fish.

The island is home to about 120 people. There is a small, well stocked grocery store, a liquor store, Laundromat and gift shop. The famous ‘Nippers Bar’ is perched on top of the dunes, overlooking the breathtakingly blue Atlantic. They serve drinksand delicious snacks. There are two other bars, both in absolutely beautiful settings where food is also served. There are also two excellent indoor restaurants for a more formal type of meal - although informality is the way of the island!
