Plaza Mar is located directly on Los Muertos Beach in Puerto Vallarta, it is only two blocks from the downtown area of Puerto Vallarta. It is a quick and easy walk to fine dining and shopping. Most of the newer hotels are north of town which are not within walking distance of the town square, restaurants, and shopping. In addition, the north hotels are in the American part of town and are very Americanized, which does not give you the true Mexican feeling. Plaza Mar is located in Zona Romantica, the best location in South Puerto Vallarta on Los Muertos Beach. Playa Los Muertos is Puerto Vallarta's most popular beach lined with bars and restaurants providing beach service.
