The location is at the center of Carcavelos , so a car is not necessary at all. Walking distance to the train station is only 4 minutes. Walking distance to the beach is only 20 minutes. Carcavelos beach is one of the best beaches in the area. It is very famous for its windsurfing. Along the beach you can also find several fantastic restaurants, inlcuding some located right along the beach.
