Vacation Rental Description

Santa Teresa holiday home is located in the heart of Erice, a fortified hilltop town overlooking Trapani, the Aegadian Islands and the western coast of Sicily (from Marsala to San Vito Lo Capo). The property is close to the main square, Piazza Umberto I, allowing you to discover the medieval town the moment you step out the door; just a short stroll from local shops, restaurants, bars.

Once a blacksmith’s workshop, the beautifully restored building has now become the SANTA TERESA Holiday Home. The house retain all their original elegance and charm with the traditional rustic style furnishings and its "Ericino style " stone paved courtyard where you can sit and unwind.

The house can sleep up to five people. It is composed of a living room, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom (with shower), a master bedroom with a king size bed and a second bedroom with twin beds and an ensuite toilet. There is a free parking area nearby in Porta Carmine (3 mins walk).

PLACES TO VISIT:                                                                                                                                                                                                  The main town, Trapani, occupies a low-lying promontory with a curving harbour which, combined with its position at Sicily's western tip, makes the town a good base for exploring this part of Sicily or a useful stopover on a touring holiday.

This province also offers numerous natural and historic attractions of great beauty and interest: the broad sandy beach of San Vito Lo Capo, rugged cliffs, lagoons, salt-pans, several nature reserves (Zingaro, Stagnone and Mount Cofano, the Egadi Islands), well preserved Greek temple and amphitheatre of Segesta, the archaeological site of Selinunte, the wine county of Marsala.

LOCAL CUISINE:
The territory of Trapani province is dominated by vast expanses of vineyards and olive groves. Indeed, some of Sicily’s best wines (Marsala and Nero D’Avola among others) and olive oils are produced in this part of the island.

Fish dishes and seafood reign supreme; north African influences can be found in local speciality of fish couscous. Pastries and ice creams are famous for their richness, but among the treats are cannoli, a tube-shaped shell of fried pastry dough filled with ricotta cheese, chocolate or candied fruit.
