Enjoy this amazing Sicily holiday rental in Ortigia with private terrace off Siracusa (Syracuse) in the southeastern part of Sicily.  The rental which was converted from an 18th-century house spans over 3 floors (2 independent units) and can accommodate up to 4 people ensuring maximum privacy.

This accommodation in Sicily, near the southeast corner of Sicily, is a true “home away from home” and was designed by two brothers – one an architect and the other a photographer – for travelers to experience a very special and serene holiday.  With a minimalist décor, the unit is decorated in all white but with splashes of gray, yellow, red, orange and green.

This unit with terrace is a duplex located on the second floor of the bulding.  On the first level, with stone flooring, there is a large living area with a double sofa-bed, a dining table with seating for 4 guests, a library, TV (without satellite) and a complete kitchen.  On the third floor, there is a master bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom with a large walk-in shower and a closet.  Off the master bedroom through magnificent glass doors, there is a wonderful private terrace that faces the bell tower of the medieval church of Santa Maria Dei Miracoli.  There is a table and chairs for 4 guests for al fresco dining as well as additional seating.

The kitchen is equipped with a fridge/freezer, microwave, oven, toaster, dishwasher and coffeemaker.

Guests also benefit from air conditioning, heating, a washing machine and a CD player.

This contemporary triplex house in Ortigia with a private terrace is located near the southeastern corner of Sicily (Siracusa) on the Ionian coast.  At the height of its economic, political and military powers, Siracusa had a population of 300,000 and, according to Cicero, was “the greatest Greek city and the most beautiful of them all.”

Ortigia Island, which is linked to the mainland by three small bridges, is the historical heart of Siracusa, and measures just 1km but is packed with over 2,500 years of history.  The tiny island is home to a winding network of pretty streets, most of which eventually converge on the lovely Piazza Duomo, an elliptical open space lined with harmonious and impressive buildings.  Here, flanked by delightful Baroque palazzi, is the Cathedral, built on and among the Doric columns of a Greek temple.  There is also the 13th-century Castello Maniace which is a fortress at the island's tip.

This accommodation in Sicily is also close to ancient Jewish baths, numerous churches, a bustling market, shops and an array of bars, cafes and restaurants.
