Vacation Rental Description

Dreaming of taking a break from the usual daily routine? Then come and escape to Goa, and experience the wonderful coastal paradise in India on the Arabian Sea. Here you will find constant sunshine, wonderful uncrowded beaches of golden sand, and friendly Goan people – all enhanced by a different way of life.

We fell in love with Chorao Island and its peaceful and beautiful surroundings, and were delighted to be able to acquire Villa Flamingo, which we are happy to be able to share with others. Our ground floor villa is built in traditional style and has been very comfortably refurnished for up to 5 people. What is more, it is only a few metres stroll from the residents’ own beautiful swimming pool. This small complex, having a number of privately owned villas, comes with its own round the clock security and small informal restaurant.

Set in 5 acres of exotic and well maintained gardens, the resort offers you plenty of peace and tranquility among the lush green palms. Because of its location, it is also a very good base for exploring other areas of Goa and further into India.

Villa Flamingo consists of:

Living Room: The open plan lounge is comfortably furnished for 5 people, television, DVD player and air-cooling ceiling fan.
Master Bedroom: Double bedroom en-suite, fitted with wash hand basin, shower cubicle, WC, water heater, air conditioning unit and air cooling fans.
Second Bedroom: A double bedroom with air-cooling ceiling fan.
Separate Kitchen Granite work surfaces, fitted with double gas burner, fridge, microwave, and plenty of storage for cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery, iron and ironing board.
Shower Room: Fitted with shower cubicle, modern sanitary units, water heater, and WC.
Outside Garden area with outdoor seating, and the gateway access just a few metres to the pool area.
Seperate Kitchen
Other Amenities and Facilities: Use of poolside sunbeds
Maid service everyday except Sunday
Towels and linen changed every 3rd day

About Diving Destinations Other

Chorao Island is Goa's best kept secret.  A real hideaway, yet within easy reach of everything. It is located in the Mandovi River, North Goa and about 35km by road from Dabolim airport. Panjim, with its colourful markets, is the capital of Goa, situated on the river 10km away. The coast with many beautiful beaches is 20km away.

This charming island has an area of about 25 sq.km. It has 30 or so small and typically Goan style villages, and from their local stores you can purchase daily provisions. Access to and from the island is fun and surprisingly quick and easy since there are two short ferry crossings running to the mainland - one at Ribander, for access to Panjim, the airport and South Goan beaches, and the other at Pomburpa, for access to the North Goan beaches.

Fares are approximately Rs.10 (12 pence!) per car and occupants. There is also a bridge connection to the north of the island. Chorao Island is the home of the famous Dr Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, where a wide variety of beautiful birds can be seen. Explore the many creeks with your personal guide, using traditional dugouts.

Notes on Villa Prices

1. Longer duration discount of 10% will be offered for the second and any additional week thereafter of a 2 week or more stay.

2. A 25% supplement applies for the Easter period.
3. A non-refundable 25% deposit is required to secure your booking.
4. The balance is to be received two weeks prior to your holiday.
5. Please note that Flamingo is a non-smoking property. Guests are requested to restrict smoking to the garden
