Vacation Rental Description

Garden Cottage is a unique stone vacation villa in Turkey Coast situated in the village of Ortakoy - 6 miles from the small hamlet of Kemer.
Pine forsets with a stunning mountain backdrop feature as part of this property's appeal.

Garden Cottage has two double bedrooms, one with en-suite bath, shower, sink & WC.
Open plan kitchen and living area with real log fire. The living area has a large sofa bed. The cottage has a large TV , DVD & CD player with a section of DVD's and CD's. The second bedroom has a small TV and DVD player also.

Books and board games section available for your enjoyment,
The Kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of cupboards and marble worktop, electric over and hob, washing machine.
A shower cabin, sink and WC leads from the kitchen area.
The cottage is fully air-conditioned.

The French doors lead to a lovely terrace in front of the swimming pool with only views of the fields and mountains. Sit and relax by the large swimming pool and then start that BBQ in the late afternoon or evening.
There is an outside shower.



About Diving Destinations Other

Ortakoy itself is a small village with a couple of local convenience shops one serving tea and kebabs with a very helpful owner who will order you provisions if you wish and a few local tea rooms. There is also market held in the square every week selling fresh fruit and veg.

Nearby is the small hamlet of Kemer is situated just 1 hour from Dalaman airport. Pine forests and countryside with a stunning mountain backdrop surround the area. The quaint town of Kemer is a traditional Turkish town having a town square with shops, mini markets and local tavernas with a pictureresque riverside setting. There is a weekly market every Friday where local produce, clothes and sovenirs can be bought.

Kemer offers the peaceful living of unspoilt Turkey with the added benefit of being within easy reach of many larger towns and attractions nearby.

FETHIYE
Fethiye is a large and busy town, however it boosts a lovely harbour with lovely restaurants and cafe's where you sit and watch the world go by! Boats trips are plentiful with a good choice of quiet trips to party boats! There are some quaint shops and lanes in the old part of town. Fethiye has two large supermarkets, Migros and Carrafore. There is also the famous Tuesday Market!

Fethiye is also famous for paragliding from Baba Mountain nearby. The parachuters land the Olü Deniz ( Dead Sea), the best beach of Turkey. The area is also famous for carved tombs in the mountain.

Fethiye has a large bus station where the resorts of Calis, Hisaronu and Ölüdeniz are easily accessible.

KAS
Atmospheric sights, warm hospitality, breathtaking scenery, sandy beaches and starlit nights at waterfront restaurants, all in true Turkish style.

This upmarket, pretty town nestled into a magnificent bay won't disappoint. Once a small fishing village, it's now a classy summer resort comprising cobbled shop-filled lanes, a quaint harbour, exotic markets and endless enticing eateries serving delectable Turkish fare. Put on your walking shoes and you'll also discover ancient cliff tombs, a crumbled amphitheatre and the serious hiking offered by the famous Lycian Way Walk. Other highlights of holidays to Kas include boat trips to Myra and brilliant diving – don your wetsuit to witness the sunken city of Kekova and amazing underwater life. And when it comes to sun lounging, choose from Kas' wooden sea platforms or grab a dolmus to some stunning local beaches.

Come sundown, Kas holidays keep their sophisticated aura. Most visitors while their evenings at the lively waterfront restaurants and tavernas, sipping on raki or wine under a canopy of stars.

PATARA
In the heart of Lycia Patara is best known for its beach, eighteen kilometers of soft white sand, backed by majestic dunes and in recent years the winner of a "best beach in the world" survey in the Sunday Times.

Patara beach should not be missed with its gorgeous landscape and great swimming. It is a national park and home to many birds, also the breeding ground of the endangered Loggerhead turtle.

The beach is an 18 kilometer-long strip of sand bordered on its ends by mountains and along its length by sand dunes and the large marshy area which once was the celebrated port of Patara.

The Patara area is a national park, a key biodiversity area and is rich in birdlife. List of birds spotted in Patara, also the ancient site of Patara with its with its gorgeous landscape and ancient ruins makes it a great place to visit. Only a 30-40 minutes drive from the cottage.

Oren is found 2 miles from the cottage, Oren is famous for its Trout Farms and you can sit in the local restaurants and sample the 'catch of the day' sitting by running stream waters!
