To us hospitality is the law
We have stables and we arrange horse riding excursions in the beautiful Sicilian countryside. If you are not expert horse riders then we have an ample riding ring with sand where you can ride and even your children can learn.
We can arrange excursions up Mt. Etna and along the lava paths, in the caves and along the Alcantara river, guided tours of Taormina, visits to the land of the Cyclops, Polifemo and Ulysses and we also have paths through our own woodland for trekking. It is possible to scuba dive or go on boat trips in the charming sea around Isola Bella and Capo Taormina.
The farm offers rooms with ensuite bathroom, TV, air conditioning and hotel facilities. Most rooms have a sea view and some look over the swimming pool. Also available are rooms with a terrace, a 50 square meter suite, and a luxury apartment with a fireplace. There is a private parking area, a play area for children, and lawns. We have access for the disabled.
We offer all the flavors of our land
Breakfast is served in a prestigious dining area with views of the swimming pool. Our breakfast includes our own farm products and other local specialities.
At the farm we encourage you to discover traditional flavors. You will find a wide range of typical Sicilian products many of which are our own certified organic products.
We have a stand where we sell a selection of local products such as honey, marmalades and jams, a variety of vegetables marinated in oil, and a selection of the best wines from Mt. Etna and Sicily.

Scents of cherries is a farmhouse with eight hectares of land.  The farm has earned organic certification for farming with a traditional terracing system. The main product is a class of cherries known as “Durone dell’Etna DOP”, but the farm also produces blood oranges, clementines, plums and other fruits.

In the heart of the true eastern Sicily
“Scents of cherries” is located in  the village of Puntalazzo, in the town of Mascali, and in the province of Catania.  We are located 380 meters above sea level on the slopes of Mt. Etna, surrounded by an enchanting forest.
Puntalazzo is in a quiet corner of Sicily honored by the presence of artists such as Rick Hucknall, voice of Simply Red. His winery “Il Cantante” is located here. Puntalazzo is also the retreat of Carmen Consoli, a famous Italian singer, who returns regularly to compose her songs, inspired by the warmth of the lava stone, the salty sea air and the changing colours of the sea.

How to get here

By car and bike
A18 highway, exit to Giarre (Catania).
From the center of the town follow signs to "S.Alfio" and then follow our own signboard for our farm "Scents of cherries"

By plane
Fontanarossa International Airport of Catania is 35 km away.
We have a free shuttle service from and to the airport; just ask for this when you book.

By train
The train stops at Giarre-Riposto station. We have a free shuttle service from and to the Giarre-Riposto train station.

We are 20 km from Mount Etna, 15 km from Taormina, 16 km from Catania, 4 km from the sea and 35 km from  Fontanarossa International Airport of Catania
