They come furnished with all mod cons, giving a flexible and cost-effective alternative to hotel accommodation. Buena Vista Park is part of the Haight-Ashbury district, which was the epicentre of San Francisco's flower-power movement in the 1960s. Tourists love to visit the area and soak up the hippy vibe that remains. Visit the Grateful Dead house at 710 Ashbury, where the band lived from 1966-1968. The Buena Vista Park district a great place to shop, with plenty of vintage and memorabilia stores. Because of the laid-back atmosphere, most shops do not open until around 10.30am. The 6, 7, 43, 71, 71L, and 24 bus routes all go directly past the park. San Francisco is a vibrant and eclectic city. It is good to visit at any time of the year, with dry summers and mild winters. Buena Vista Park has beautiful walking and hiking trails, along with fantastic views. It is a wonderful contrast to the urban bustle of other parts of San Francisco. |
