This elegant, spacious and luminous Rome apartment offers beautiful views over private gardens right in the heart of Trastevere. Located on the first floor (with elevator) of a lovely palazzo, you'll be walking distance to all the major sights in Rome including Piazza Navona, Campo dei Fiori and the Pantheon.

This Rome apartment has been completely remade using beautiful “cotto” floors, elegant refining, antique furniture, paintings and Persian carpets. Quiet and tranquil, this is a spotlessly clean apartment with a warm and homely atmosphere. The ideal property for a wonderful vacation.

The apartment comprises of a double bedroom and a single bedroom. The large living room also has a double sofa bed and chairs for relaxing. There's a fully equipped kitchen and the bathroom comes with a shower and tub.

This Rome apartment is in Trastevere which is east of the historical center on the other side of the River Tiber. It’s one of Rome’s oldest neighbourhoods and certainly one of the most characteristic. Here you’ll find many restaurants and bars located on the cobbled-stone narrow streets of Trastevere. Once home to the Syrian community and then to the Jewish community, Trastevere has slowly and steadily grown into the second biggest Rione (neighbourhood) in Rome.

Rich families such as the Farnese settled in amongst populace bringing wealth and giving the area a certain status that had been coveted throughout history. At the heart of Trastevere is Piazza di Santa Maria in Trastevere which is one of the most beautiful piazza’s in Rome. Visit the church of Santa Maria in Trastevere and admire the faded palazzi while you relax in one of the bars lining the square. Trastevere is also only 10 minute walk to the Centro Storico.

We loved our stay. I would recommend this appartment to anyone. Set off a quiet street in a garden but close to everything. The appartment was huge with a charming room with a single bed, a dbl sofa bed in lounge and a huge dbl bed in another room with aircon. Great kitchen, washer, aircon x2. We found lots of eateries in the neighbourhood and would definately return.

The apartment was in a great location with cafes, churches, fountains, grocery stores, ruins, the Tiber and energy--every think that you hoped would be in your Roman neighborhood! The apartment was very much like pictured. It was also very nice to have an elevator to haul luggage when you arrive and are usually tired. I would certainly rent the apartment again.

Trastevere Grande was located in a quiet and safe area. We really liked being able to walk to the close by restaurants, cafes and shops around the Santa Maria piazza. The apartment itself was very spacious and it was nice to have air conditioning. The negatives are it could have been a little cleaner and we only had one roll of toilet paper when we arrived, no kitchen wash cloth or towel and the hot water in the bathroom only worked when the hot water tap was running in the kitchen. Overall though a very nice location close to transit to get to all the sights. Paula was very helpful.

Trastevere Grande apartment is in a perfect location. There is a fresh market, several grocery stores, bakeries and lots of great affordable restaurants within walking distant. The apartment is spacious and had all the amenities we required. Itâ€™s a short walk to great night life, yet far enough that you could still have quiet sleeping nights. The only thing I could recommend for improvement would be the shower. Every time we showered water would leak out onto the floor. Otherwise, I would recommend it to anyone thinking of going to Rome.

Our stay at Trastevere Grande was excellent. It was exactly as advertised (ie no bad surprises!). All of our expectations were met. The apartment is well located, quiet at night, and spacious and well equipped. Our greeter (I am so sorry I forgot her name!) was waiting for us exactly at the planned time and was extremely helpful. Our ride to the airport was also waiting exactly as planned. Thank you for making our trip to Rome a fantastic one. Meaghan St Louis

The apartment was in a great location...it was an easy walk into the main tourist portion of Rome, or adequate public transportation to get where we needed to be! The apartment is spacious and the kitchen well-equipped. There is also a music playing device which is nice when relaxing in the evenings. The owner has put in soundproofed windows...so, when closed, you could be in the countryside for all you can hear. :) The one fault, which is very small and should not deter your choice is that the bath towels could use some fabric softener, they felt a bit like sandpaper...but clean. Also, the shower curtain tends to hug the legs when showering. The owner was very accommodating and very nice and I would highly recommend this apartment to any of my friends.

Very clean, quiet and comfortable apartment (for family of four, 2 adults, baby and 6 year old). Fantastic location - we were able to walk to the major tourist attractions, shops and resturants just a few minutes away. Don't forget to pick up a sweet pastry and coffee in the square! Thoroughly Recommended!

The property is ideally located, has everything you could want and the owner most helpful! There is a playground in the adjoining square which was perfect for our toddler and two supermarkets around the corner made self catering a breeze. The 4 Euro takeaway pizza down the road was also delicious! The doorman of the building was like a hotel concierge, very helpful and friendly. We loved it here and will stay again next time we're in Rome. Many thanks!

What a great apartment! The location was brilliant. We walked everywhere from here - it was easy and enyoyable. The area was just lovely, you could spend your entire time just exploring this delightful pocket.The local shops were friendly and cheap and the market was a treasure.The apartment was gorgeous. Spacious and comfortable. The owner was welcoming and helpful. All in all, a great place to stay. We felt we were in a part of a Rome that few tourists have the opportunity to visit or experience.Highly recommened. Forget those tourist areas to stay -we would go back!

The appartment was very well situated. Close to bus and tram links but also walking distance to main sights. Clean and well equipped but it would be nice to have some mirrors in rooms other than the bathroom and a coffee pot to make the best of the delicious Italian coffee! Single bed was a bit hard according to my daughter! Owner very friendly and lots of local info in appartment. Doorman helpful - he looked after our bags as we had a very late return flight. Trastevere - a good area for restaurants - away from the busy tourist areas.

Just wanted to send you a brief note to say what a wonderful time we had at the apartment in Rome. It was all and more than we could have expected. (It was the first time we had rented an apartment and there was more than a little anxiety in the air as we landed in Rome.) The car service was excellent, Paula was delightful, and the apartment was quiet, clean and very well appointed. In short, everything was "as advertised." We would certainly use Holiday Velvet again for future trips ... and we will certainly recommend it to many friends who were curious to see how the apartment rental "adventure" worked out. And please pass on our thanks to Paula. Once again, sincere thanks. Hope to speak with you next year.

The apartment was pretty, very well-equipped and clean and we were met on time and given the advice and support we needed to get around. We liked the array of travel books and DVDs provided as well. It would have been nice if the air conditioning had been included rather than an extra fee of 10 euros per day, which seemed very high. We declined the air conditioning and suffered through hot days and evenings in the apartment.

Cancellation Policy

More than 30 days: In case of cancellation of a confirmed booking with more than 30 days prior warning, 25% of the booking deposit is reimbursed.

Within 29 days: The cancellation of a confirmed booking within 29 days of the rental period entails the forfeiting of all payments made. The Client will also be liable for the amount of 1 nights rental of the property rented.
Within 6 days: In case of cancellation of a confirmed booking within 6 days of the arrival date, the Client will be liable for 3 nights rental.
If the client abandons the property, he loses all rights to any eventual refund or rebate.
If there's a "no-show" without the client giving prior warning to Holiday Velvet , the client is liable for 100% of the total booking amount.
Should you need to cancel the reservation due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, airline cancellation, ill health etc, the same cancellation conditions as stated here apply.

As a precautionary measure, we strongly recommend that the Client purchase travel insurance.
