This apartment in Rome has been furnished with meticulous taste using only the highest quality in fittings, furniture and amenities. The apartment has beautiful hard wooden floors, antique furniture, spectacular architectural refining and modern light fixtures.

This Spanish Steps holiday rental features a spacious living room divided by white columns which separate the entrance from the dining and sitting area. The living room has a double sofa-bed and two large sliding doors open-up onto 1 of the bedrooms "the studio" that comes with a red sofa that can be converted into a double bed. The two windows/doors give you access to a beautiful balcony overlooking the street below with a view of beautiful buildings.

From the studio area and the kitchen you have access to the large and beautiful terrace overlooking internal court yards. This terrace is fully equipped so you can enjoy summer lunches and dinners.

Through a long hall, you will reach the two other bedrooms. The double bedroom is completely furnished and has an en-suite bathroom with shower. The third bedroom comes with twin beds. The large kitchen is fully equipped with a breakfast area.

This magnificent apartment in Rome offers you the possibility to stay in one of the most elegant areas of Rome. Piazza del Popolo, one of the most imporsing squares in Rome, is literally on your doorstep. The main shopping street in Rome, via del Corso, ends on Piazza del Popolo.

From here you are a short walking distance to the Villa Borghese park, the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. The nearest metro is Flaminio.

We had a fabulous stay at Porta del Pincio at via Beccaria, just a stone's throw from Piazza del Poppolo. Location was unbeatable in a safe neighbourhood. There was ample food choices nearby and a grocer in the next block. We were very pleased with the transportation to and from the airport. The driver was on time and knew exactly where to go. He even helped us with our luggage. The apartment was spacious and accommodated the 6 of us very comfortably. It was very clean and tidy, with starched sheets and linen. The kitchen was well supplied with utensils and appliances worked well. We had no hot water for bathing for the first 2 days because of a broken hot water valve/switch, but the landlord acted promptly in getting it fixed, gave us a bottle of homegrown olive oil from her farm and refunded us some of the rental, which we appreciated very much. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Rome and would gladly return on our next trip.Here are some suggestions: it would be good to have a maid service at the end of each week of rental to replenish supplies like toilet paper, vacuum the floor, and change the sheets etc. Wi fi internet would be a big plus. An area directory would be most useful, showing a simple map of the grocery store or nearby convenience stores and cafes/pastry shops. Finally, it would be good for the agent to check that all heating and appliances are in good working order before guests arrive.Thank you.

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment and it did not disappoint in any way. We were in Rome for my daugther's wedding and stayed there as a group of 6. We just loved sitting on the terrace to eat and have a drink. Anyone of the wedding party who visited us in the apartment were very impressed. Everywhere is within walking distance and the little cafes around the apartment are great. There was a little hitch with our chauffeur service from the airport and we were delayed by about 45 minutes but a phone call to Gino and it was sorted. Very prompt pick-up for return journey. Vinod met us on our arrival and introduced us to the apartment. I do not think it is mentioned in the facilities but there is a very new dishwasher which came in very handy for 6 people. I would certainly use Holiday Velvet again and have recommended them to my friends and also this apartment if they were staying in Rome. The booking process is so easy and all arrangements were in place on our arrival. (the door handle has not been fixed on the bedroom door as previously mentioned but it was no problem).

The apartment is well positioned, spacious and comfortable. The complete lack of a cupboard in the third 'bedroom' is inconvenient. Even some shelves would be an improvement or a portable rail which cab be used if wished for?

We really liked the Piazza del Popolo location, near the subway and a nice piazza and a 10 minute walk to the Spanish steps. The back baclony was great in the morning and evening. Internet service would be a nice improvement. More towels would be good.

We booked Porta Del Pincio for an adult weekend in Rome there were six of us. The apartment was exactly as it was described, it was very clean and comfortable and very spacious, we all wished we could have stayed longer. We had a couple of issues with plugs, the adaptors we had only fitted certain sockets but this was a minor inconvenience.The apartment has a large terrace off the kitchen and 3rd bedroom and a smaller terrace off the living room and the other 2 bedrooms. It is in a very quiet location. The apartment is within easy walkiing distance to most atractions, the metro was only a 2 minute walk, Piazza Del Poppolo 5 minutes walk with loads of taxis and it looked as though a new cable car station was being done on the corner of the block. In all we had a wonderfull stay and would recommend the apratment. We had never used Holiday Velvet before and were so please with the service we will not hesitate to use them again. They made the whole experience so easy even down to arranging a chauffer service to and from the airport.

My family of 7 (adults and children) stayed at Porta del Pincio. We were met at the apt. promptly by a representative with the keys and tour of the apt. It was beautifully furnished, well stocked kitchen (we cooked several times) and plenty of towels for the 2 roomy bathrooms. Plenty of room in the bedrooms and our 2 grandsons had a great time on the terrace as well. As a matter of fact, we ate out there too. The location was in a very quiet and SAFE neighborhood. In a short stroll you are right at the Metro stop to take you all over the city. Our 7 and 9 year olds were getting really good at getting the tickets from the Metro auto ticket machines. This location is literally at the top of the city where you can easily walk to the Spanish Steps and Trevi fountain. The pickup/stop for the Red City Bus tours is nearby. It is a great location for safety, quiet and ease of travel!!

an excllent location for walking and close to the rail station. Very clean property. The Taxi booking service to/from the apartment is very reliable and competitively priced. Overall, a great property and all booking arrangements through Holiday Velvet done very efficiently and to plan.

The property was well positioned a short walk from the Flaminio Metro station to the north of Piazza Del Popolo. This enabled us to stroll down through Rome in the morning and if we got tired we were able to catch the metro home. The apartment was of reasonable size and comfortably accommodated our family of 5. The apartment was clean and the furnishings minimalist. A few minor issues detracted from the overall experience including bathroom door handle was broken, some of the full length window doors to the balcony would not lock properly, the wobbly table in the kitchen and peeling paint on some sections of the ceiling. Overall though we enjoyed our stay and we were pleased with our accommodation.

Location was great, very close to Plaza di Popolo and Metro. The apartment was very spacious and clean. The only downside were the number of powercuts. It took a while to work out, what to run when to avoid this.

The apt was spotless and excellently located we walked everywhere without need for public transport. The metro stop was right beside apt but we only used to visit Vatican just 2 stops away. Only drawback early checkout with no facility for storing baggage next time would book extra night as we had to book hotel room for day to facilitate storage of bags, showering before airport, etc. Would highly recommend this apt.

The apartment fully met our expectations. It was clean, well furnished and well equipped. We stayed late June/early July and the weather outside was very hot but the air conditioning made the apartment very comfortable. Our party of 5 was met at the airport by the taxi arranged by Holiday Velvet and we were dropped right outside the apartment where we were met by the rep. This service was excellent. There is a very good store just around the corner where we were able to buy all the provisions (and wine) we needed. The staff were very friendly and spoke pretty good English. The only downside was that we arrived on a Monday and it was an Italian holiday so all the shops were closed! The apartment was well positioned for the Metro, buses and tram.

The apartment was in a great location, about 2 blocks from the Flaminio metro station, and close to the Piazza del Popolo and fabulous shopping. Vinod was there to meet us upon arrival as scheduled with no problems. The property was clean and neat, however, lacking bath soap and a coffee pot, so bring your own. Otherwise, it was well provisioned. We would not recommend this for a party of 8, as the living room sofa was not comfortable for sitting , let alone sleeping. The large terrace was lovely with potted flowers and plants. We especially loved the cappucinos around the corner at Miami Cafe, across from the tram stop. We would definitely use Holiday Velvet again.

The Porta del Pincio apartment was exactly as illustrated in your ad. It is easy to find after exploring Rome all day. It is clean, spacious and in an excellent location. The Metro is a short block away. We have already recommended it to others. The service we received from HOLIDAY VELVET was above and beyond our expectations. Location, location, location....Great and very economical! We had a wonderful time! We would book Porta del Pincio again in a heartbeat. Very clean, spacious and in walking distance to almost everything we wanted to visit, and right around the corner from the metro for the areas that were too far to walk. The added benefit of booking airport transfers with Holiday Velvet made the trip that much smoother. Great Rome trip all around!

We had a wonderful stay in Rome .The apartment is only minutes away from the piazza Del Popolo,which leads to the Spanish steps,Trevvi fountain and the Pantheon.The metro is also only minutes away if you cant face a walk to the colosseum or the Vatican.A fabulous city worth a visit more than once .As for the apartment is was located on the sixth floor.Externally our initial impression were not good,but once inside the apartment we found it spacious and well furnished and more than suitable for six adults and two children.Even in the middle of October it was warm enough to sit outside on the balcony.Nearby are bars,a supermarket,coffee shops and as mentioned the Metro.There is also a tram stop close by and train station.If we were to come and stay in Rome again as a party of eight we would most likely consider this apartment again

The location was excellent and the property was of a higher standard than we expected. It was modern, very clean. with very comfortable bedding. The only small problems were with the dishwasher which did not work, and with one of the windows. We would be very happy to stay at this property again and will recommend it and Holiday Velvet to friends.

We just got back from Italy today and our 4 nights in Rome were great. The "Porta del Pincio" apt. was just as beautiful as the pictures and it had plenty of room for our group of 7 people. The children enjoyed the terrace and so did the adults after a long hot day of sightseeing! The elevator was alittle small and you could only fit 3 people at once, but it'a a common problem in Italy. The apt. was located within walking distance of the Metro and plenty of great eating places, grocery stores and anything else you needed! If you like to walk, you can even make it to the Trevi Fountain from there. I didn't see any bus routes near there, but the Metro is so much quicker and easier. And did I mention the air conditioning?!?!? We were so happy to get back in the evening to a cool place!! Our contact person was very prompt and was helpful in showing us everything we needed to know about the apat. i would recommend it highly for a large group. It can easily sleep 8 people with the use of the sofa bed.

Found Porta del Pincio to be a wonderful apartment in a fantastic position. From here we negotiated ancient Rome with ease. We found we were in walking distance to all the important sites. Also metro station around corner, along with bank and little supermarket and some delightful restaurants that were reasonably priced. Would highly recommend this apartment for anyone who wishes to take in the magic or Rome on foot.

I am an Italian born and raised professional living in NYC. I visit Italy twice a year. I am from the northern part of Italy and went to Rome on vacation with family. I was pleased with my stay. Everything was good: very big apartment; very nice view; nicely decorated; very nice area, close to all major attractions and public transportations. The digital TV did not work: during our stay this was not a big deal, however it may be worth to clear ahead of time if you are planning to use the service (that you paid for). I am happy to recommend the place.

Cancellation Policy

More than 30 days: In case of cancellation of a confirmed booking with more than 30 days prior warning, 25% of the booking deposit is reimbursed.

Within 29 days: The cancellation of a confirmed booking within 29 days of the rental period entails the forfeiting of all payments made. The Client will also be liable for the amount of 1 nights rental of the property rented.
Within 6 days: In case of cancellation of a confirmed booking within 6 days of the arrival date, the Client will be liable for 3 nights rental.
If the client abandons the property, he loses all rights to any eventual refund or rebate.
If there's a "no-show" without the client giving prior warning to Holiday Velvet , the client is liable for 100% of the total booking amount.
Should you need to cancel the reservation due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, airline cancellation, ill health etc, the same cancellation conditions as stated here apply.

As a precautionary measure, we strongly recommend that the Client purchase travel insurance.
