This Rome holiday apartment is opposite The Trevi Fountain which is the most famous of all the Roman fountains. It is also known as the fountain where Anita Ekberg cooled off at night in Fellini's film "La Dolce Vita". Legend says that if you toss a coin over your shoulder and into the fountain, you will one day return to the eternal city.
The area was called in the 18th century Roman slang "er ghetto de l'inglesi" (the English ghetto). Now it is a homely area and an ideal location for exploring Rome by foot, as all major attractions - the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona - are in short walking distance. The area is replete with cafes, restaurants, internet cafes, trattorias and gelato shops.
Although the area is very touristic, when renting an apartment in the Trevi Fountain area you will get to know the true romantic and picturesque facets of Rome.
