A beautiful Rome accommodation in the centre of Trastevere: This unique Rome accommodation is located on the 2nd loor of an ancient building and comprises of stylishly renovated ceiling with wooden beam all throughout, beautiful “cotto” floors and original, antique furniture.

This sunny and tastefully renovated Rome apartment features a spacious living room furnished with a large sofa.The terrace with wooden stairs, provide light to the apartment.

The fully fitted and modern kitchen can be accessed from the dining room. The two twins bed rooms and the main bed room (with a double bed) is close to the living room with its own bathroom “en-suite” and can be reached from the corridor.

The second bathroom is just next to the kitchen.

This Rome accommodation is located in Trastevere, the charming Roman neighborhood with boutiques, restaurants and trattorias. The apartment is just few minutes walk to all historic monuments: Campo dei Fiori, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, the Vatican; 15 minutes on foot for Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain.

- Within 6 days: In case of cancellation of a confirmed booking within 6 days of the arrival date, the Client will be liable for 3 nights rental.
- If the client abandons the property, he loses all rights to any eventual refund or rebate.
- If there's a "no-show" without the client giving prior warning to Holiday Velvet , the client is liable for 100% of the total booking amount.
- Should you need to cancel the reservation due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, airline cancellation, ill health etc, the same cancellation conditions as stated here apply.

This apartment was exactly as depicted in website photographs. It was extremely clean and well presented and had all amenities and facilities one would expect in a self-contained apartment. The price was good. Our family of six had a most comfortable and enjoyable stay for 9 nights in January 2013. The location is great for restaurants and it is relatively easy to get across the river to the bulk of the monuments and sights. The owner of this apartment, who met us when we checked in, is a most delightful person. The only downside to the apartment is that Vicolo del Cinque has restaurants and shops, and because of this the bedrooms facing the street can get quite a bit of noise until late into the night.

We gave this property 5 stars, really more like 4.5. We have stayed in many private rentals in Europe, the US and Canada. I'll break it down into headings:Location: couldn't be better for authentic Rome. Within walking distance to all major sites. Located in a pedestrian zone in Trastevere. Cheaper, better quality restaurants than in Campo Di Fiore. The only drawback was the noisy street below for two of the three bedrooms, often went well on into the night. Earplugs for me solved the problem but my kids were often kept awake.Apartment Amenities: Well furnished, excellent beds, quality linens, lots of towels, very nicely decorated, great kitchen and well equipped. More than two wine glasses would be a good addition (just an oversight I think). And we really liked the little safe – first time I’ve seen this in any vacation rental outside of a large resort. GREAT! Also, this apartment was clean, clean, clean. We felt very comfortable and safe. Overall I loved it. One thing I noticed however was that the advertisement included mention of the rooftop terrace. Due to pending roof construction, this was not available and the door to the rooftop was locked. I do think however that this should have been brought to our attention as this was one of the reasons we rented this particular apartment. We love sitting out at night, even on cooler nights to look at city lights. We couldn’t do this. In short, don’t advertise it if it’s not available. The owner was wonderful and we enjoyed dealing with her. She was helpful and very amenable to any problems/concerns we might have. I would recommend this apartment – yes, expensive but overall exactly what we were looking for in terms of location and comfort.

Fantastic location near the Ponte Sisto easy access to old city, with the advantage of reasonably priced restaurants near the flat. Jolly sounds from the bedrooms on the street side into the night. Will definately go again.

The location of the apartment was fabulous great restaurants and easy to get around rome. The property was lovely and clean the only difficulty we had was that the hot water broke down and could not be fixed for the 5 days we were in Rome, this meant no hot showers and lots of boiling water for washing the family. The owners were very apologetic and will have this problem fixed. With hot water this apartment is perfect.

Overall the stay in Cinque was great! The location in Trestevere is perfect, the apartment is beautiful and clean with all the equipment that you might need. The only problem is that Via de Cinque is a bit noisy in the night, becouse all the restaurants and bars, but if you are trying to keep up with the Romans there is no problem. Apart from that it's a lovely apartment. I also want to thank the staff on Holiday Velvet for the fantastic service when we needed extra transportation from the airport! I will for sure book my next holiday apartment with you!

We traveled as a group of 6 adults (1 married couple, 3 adult daughters and 1 future son in law, as our daughter and he got engaged in Rome!). We chose the Cinque because it had the sleeping arrangements we needed, the pictures of it looked precious, and it was located in a area of town (northern Trastevere, right by Ponte Sista) that would allow us to walk everywhere we wanted to go in Rome. Our apartment met, or exceeded, ALL our expectations and we would HIGHLY recommend it. Trastevere is a magical place to stay, and the Cinque was right in the middle of that magic! You walk out of your door, and right onto cobblestone streets with a gelatto place (our favorite, after trying many!) within about 10 paces, and several restaurants(our favorite pizza by the slice was right around the corner!) and multiple shops (including a little grocery store) just a few doors down. We often walked at night around Trastevere, and there were always a lot of people (mostly Romans) out walking as well, and we never felt unsafe or threatened. There were tourists, but it was not at all "touristy". It is impossible to describe the magic of Trastevere, but it is worth it to come see it for yourself. The location DID allow us to walk pretty much everywhere. Northern Rome was probably a 45 minute walk, the Vatican 25 minutes, Circo Massimo (the closest Metro and also right next to Ancient Rome) maybe 15 minutes, Campo De Fiori 5 minutes and Piazza Navona 15 minutes. We took the Metro a couple times, but for the most part, the walking was one of the great experiences because of all the beauty around us, and we felt it worth it to do so. Our apartment owner's son and girlfriend were SUCH gems and helped us get settled and went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed, even giving up their personal internet stick to make sure we had internet for the week for our laptops! (There was also an internet cafe right down the street as well). The apartment came with a washer, and they brought a drying rack for us. They also brought us to a bigger grocery store (a 6 minute walk through Piazza Santa Maria di Travestere, VERY easy) and we had such an adventure finding ingredients we needed to cook the recipes I brought! It was so much fun! The apartment itself was PRECIOUS and felt very warm and antique, which is what we wanted. James, of Holiday Velvet, had warned us that the two front bedrooms (the two twins) would get noisy at night, because Via de Cinque was a very popular night spot, and the Romans just hang out in the street (yes, even in the March chill!) and he was right! However, our adult children had no problem with the noise, and we loved being so close a place that was so loved by the people of Rome! The back bedroom, with the double bed, was very quiet so my husband and I had no problem with noise from the street! Holiday Velvet took great care of us too, always responding to emails, answering all our questions and arranging for us to get to and from the airport via a van/driver. We had no problem with that at all, and walked off the plane into the driver's car, so the transportation was WELL worth the price! In every way, this was an amazing trip and we would recommend Holiday Velvet and the Cinque with the highest rating!

We would highly recommend this apartment and location!!We LOVED the location, as we walked out of our front door, and were onto cobblestone streets with a gelatto place (the best we had!) three doors down, and a pizza by the slice place (also the best!) right down the street, with many other restaurants and little shops very close! We were right by Ponte Sista, allowing us to walk from our apartment to EVERY location on our list!. We only took the bus once to Via Appia and the Metro twice(the Metro stop is about a 15 minute walk). Trastevere is absoultely MAGICAL, and we spent MANY nights just walking the streets, feeling 100% safe at all times. The location of the apartment put us RIGHT into the "Roman" (not tourist) world which is EXACTLY what we wanted. The streets were never crowded (like Northern Rome, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona areas were) and it was obvious we were in a prime location for the locals, which made it a active, fun place to be. James did let us know that the front rooms (the two twins) would have street noise late into the evening, but our adult children were not bothered by it at all, and the back bedroom where my husband and I slept, was very quiet. The owner's son, and his girlfriend, were GEMS! From the first moment, they were so willing to do whatever it took to help our stay. They even walked us to the local grocery store (which I would have never found!) and stayed as we got a few things! We had his number and could call him with anything we needed. The apartment itself was perfect for a family like ours.It was precious, clean, functional, and even 6 adults were comfortable and could get ready for the day without trouble. GREAT place to stay!!!!
