Vacation Rental Description

Torotes Mexican holiday accommodation is located directly on the sand of one of the most pristine and exquisite beaches of the Sea of Cortez. The serenity of the coastline is so captivating that time has a habit of losing all meaning, each day lazily melting together with the one before. Casa Torotes can be anything that you want it to be: a romantic getaway, a fishing retreat for you and your friends or water oriented beach house capable of accommodating multiple families of even the most energetic youngsters.

Our Mexico rental home can easily accommodate 3 families. It features 3 master suites each with its own toilet and shower as well as a smaller guest room. On a recent trip we easily accommodated 13 family members with room to spare. Casa Torotes holiday rental also features hand painted walls, a modern laundry facility, a gargantuan kitchen with all of the modern conveniences, outdoor barbeque, a spacious dinning room, breakfast room, day room and living room. There are 2 fireplaces located inside the hacienda as well as an outdoor fireplace on the front patio near the fountain. The drinking water at our house pumped directly from a clean well is safe to drink; we have not yet recorded a single episode of illness. Our home also has air conditioning which seems to be an absolute necessity on hot summer nights.

In Baja every day brings new opportunities and adventure is at your fingertips whether it is trips to the once secret waterfall and hot springs, snorkeling, shopping trips to Cabo San Jose, the infamous nightlife of Cabo San Lucus, Surf trips to Cabo and Todos Santos, Kitesurfing and windsurfing in Los Barriles. But for many the appeal of our home is simply enjoying the solitude and doing nothing all day except soaking up the sun and enjoying a good book.

From a fishing standpoint our home is situated on one of the most enviable locations on the Sea of Cortez. Running parallel with our beach is the famous Roosterfish Alley; every summer fisherman arrive from all over to take on the mighty Roosterfish, one of the most notorious fighters in the world. These fish are often caught not only by boat but also by fly fishing from shore. At Casa Torotes observing the ferocity of the Roosterfish can be as easy as sitting on the patio with a cold freshly squeezed margarita, it is not unusual to witness bait balls of terrified fish throwing themselves onto the dry sand to escape the Roosterfish and its signature fantail slicing through the water behind them. Each morning the fishing fleets from Los Barriles, Rancho Leonero and the famous Hotel Punta Colorada motor near our home to deep sea fishing locations off the coast fishing for marlin, dorado, tuna, wahoo, amberjack, grouper, snapper, triggerfish, pompano and more . If you wish, it can be arranged to have one of these sportfishing boats pick you up directly in front of the house, quite literally from bed to boat in five minutes. Our strategic location on the sandy shore makes beach pick ups and drop offs a breeze. Offer your captain a beer or two and he may decide to clean your fish for no extra charge.

About Puerto Vallarta East Cape

Casa Torotes is large family beach house located just outside of the sleepy town of La Ribera on the East Cape region of Baja California Sur, Mexico. The East Cape is known for its beautiful sandy beaches, sunny weather and big game fishing. One of the charms of the East Cape is that it is well off of the beaten path and has been less affected by crowds and tourism as such areas as Los Cabos. Many of these major resort destinations have become gritty, overpopulated, loud and Americanized and the result they provide a much less authentic Mexico experience. Our home is located on a sandy beach that stretches for miles. In the Summer, Spring and Fall months the water is placid and warm providing the ideal environment for swimming and bathing.
