Provence Villa: La Saladelle

This 100 sqm villa in Provence has accommodation for  up to six people in three bedrooms and two bathrooms and a pretty, shaded garden. It is quietly situated on the edge of the village in the heart of the Camargue National Park and only 6 kms to the beach. 

The cosy lounge is furnished with a round table, armchairs, sofa, and French doors with screens opening to garden. The dining room also has table, 6 chairs, and French doors to the terrace. The kitchen consists table, 6 chairs, cooker with gas hob, dishwasher and fridge freezer and everything else you need for self-catering. The washroom, adjoining the kitchen, contains a washing machine and sink. 

The  ground floor bedroom has a  double bed and window with  views of the garden. Bedroom 2  has a double bed, armchair and window again with views of the garden. The third  upstairs bedroom  has twin beds, armchair, and is ensuite to the shower room and wc. It has screened windows with views of the garden.

The terrace is equipped with a barbecue, table and chairs and is perfect for dining outdoors. .

This holiday villa in Provence is located in the village Salins de Giraud; once home to the largest salt works in Europe and in the heart of the wild and wonderful Camargue region.  The vast beach of Port Saint Louis is at only 6 km away. 

The ‘Roman city’ of Arles is the 33 kms away and lies on the  Rhone River. It was painted profusely by Van Gogh (many of his works are on display in his eponymous foundation in the city) and famous for bull fights which start around Easter Time. Other attractions include the Alyscamps necropolis and Museon Arlaten, which holds an outstanding collection of Provencal artefacts. Not to be missed is the Hotel de Ville, dating from the 17th century and by the same architect who built the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles.
