Provence Villa: La Petite Bastide

This Provence holiday villa for short-term near Draguignan has accommodationf for to eight people in three bedrooms and one bathroom. It is full of character and set within vast grounds, 1500m from the beautiful village of Tourtour and 20 km north west of Draguignan.

The living-dining area is fully furnished whilst the American kitchen has a  washing machine, oven and all the facilities you need for full self-catering.

The main bedroom is situated on the ground floor and containins a double bed with French window to terrace. Bedroom 2 and 3 are on the first floor and also have double beds.

Outside there is a furnished terrace with view of grounds and pool. The above-ground pool has a safety system and steps, and a depth of 1.5m. A gas barbecue completes the set up.

This holiday villa in Provence is located in Tourtour, (also called 'the village in the sky'). It is said to be one of the most beautiful villages of France. Toutour is a charming village, typical of these higher greener areas of Provence, with a calm and relaxed atmosphere.

The villages and countryside around Draguignan are some of the prettiest in Provence, with blankets of lavender over the hillside, forests of cypress trees and glimpses of the Pre-Alps in the distance.

Day trip excursions are plentiful and just some of the villages to seek out include Lorgues, with its handsome ensemble of 18th architecture and Tourtour, which has lovely views all the way down to the Mediterranean. Foodies should head the Thursday truffle market at Aups and don’t miss the Abbaye du Thoronet, a Cisterian abbey open to the public.
