This 280 sq. ft. modern vacation apartment in Paris is located on the second American Floor (with elevator) of an historic building that has a protected historic courtyard. From the quiet courtyard you will step directly out near the top end of la Rue Mouffetard, in the 5th arrondissement (Latin Quarter).

The apartment has a 130 square foot main salon with basic Cable TV w/DVD and Cable DSL high speed Internet access with wi-fi (you need only bring your own notebook) and a double sofa-bed. The furnishings (tasteful, in the Art Deco style) include a small eating table w/four chairs, a side table w/reading lamp, a small round coffee table, a Halogen style floor lamp, a modern “minimalists style” easy chair, and a cabinet. It has a buffet, high ceilings with exposed wooden beams, nicely finished hardwood floors, and a one large window that overlooks the rue Mouffetard fresh food market. The overall sense of space and light is increased by the use of a large floor-to-ceiling wall mirror. Kitchen appliances include a 4 burner electric cook-top, built-in conventional oven, microwave, a clothes washer/dryer, and all utensils and dishes for two people.

The modern tiled bathroom has a full bathtub with hand shower with a wall mount so it can be used either way, a basin, and a toilet in its own enclosure.

This vacation apartment in Paris is in rue Mouffetard, one of the most picturesque streets in Paris and located in the very heart of the Latin Quarter. Close to the Sorbonne, there are restaurants and cafes, bookshops, cinemas, theatres close at hand and street markets with everything you need. The Luxembourg Gardens, the banks of the Seine and Notre Dame cathedral are just a short walk away. You will fall in love with this area, which has been the home of so many philosophers and writers (Hemingway`s "A Moveable Feast" is situated here).
