What can be said about London that hasn't already been said. London is one of the premier cities in the Europe and the opportunities for entertainment never stop? Unlike many other European cities, London looks unplanned and dirty, but don't let that put you off, it is those traits that make it one of the most exciting cities in the world. With numerous museums, monuments, buildings, churches and historical sites to see during the day and a fantastic array of pubs, clubs, bars and restaurants to enjoy at night, you'll need a holiday to get over your visit to London. In a word: liberating.

Chelsea is one of the most fashionable areas of London. The district is loosely defined by the area around the King's Road, beginning at Sloane Square at one end, and the "World's end" pub at the other. Watch how the young millionaires spend their money on Kings Road or walk around the beautiful mews to reach London's major river The Thames. Chelsea was once the bohemian quarter of London, then it became the youth culture quarter, with famous residents such as the Beattles, the Rolling stones, Vivienne Westwood and... Kylie. Maybe, if you keep your ears well open, you might still hear those funky beats in the air.

Stay in Knightsbridge where you can shop till your credit card has a seizure, stare at beautiful people and visit some of the museums in South Kensington, including London's The Natural History Museum and The Science Museum. Slightly further West is the very French Kensington area. It is the well to do area of West London. It links up Notting Hill, South Kensington, Knightsbridge and Chelsea. Apart from the incredible shopping opportunities on High-street Kensington, there are a number of smaller "street treats" including Church Street and Queens Gate.

London's Piccadilly and Bloomsbury are considered the centre of London, or commonly called the "West End". The Theatre District, Covent Garden, China Town, the pedestrian-only Leicester Square and Soho are all in close proximity. Make sure you catch a movie on the massive screens, go for a theatre play, eat Chinese and change your trainers for clean shoes to go out clubbing in the evening. Basically, if you want to be in the thick of it in London, this is where to go.

Don't let the film put you off, London's Notting Hill and surrounding areas isn't full of people with limp shaggy hair that babble too much when you speak to them. Notting Hill is one of the liveliest and greenest places in London. This is where many cool and trendy people hangout in the many cafes and bars. Then there is, of course, the very colourful Portobello market on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. You are located 15 minutes from the centre of London by underground and it's a great place to get away from the madding crowd. If you don't stay here make sure you visit.
