Simple and tasteful décor with clean lines and fresh colors of white and blue, this rental apartment in Bairro Alto has parquet floors throughout and consists of 1 bedroom with a double bed, a reading nook and a kitchen area.  The reading area features bright blue cushions on top of a white slatted bench (reminisence of a boat) and the kitchenette is fitted with modern amenities including a fridge, an oven, a coffee machine, a toaster, a microwave and a juicer.  There is a table for 2 for dining at home.  The bathroom with its beautiful blue tile has a shower.

This one bedroom holiday accommodation in Lisbon is situated one of the busiest streets in the district of Bairro Alto.  Full of charm, Bairro Alto is a mixture of old-world, modern and urban living.  Local grocery stores and Portuguese taverns are side by side with fashion shops, trendy bars and clubs.  The neighbourhood has the largest concentration and variety of restaurants in the city varying from traditional and cheap Portuguese tascas to purveyors of sophisticated cosmopolitan cuisine.

The apartment is walking distance to a wealth of attractions such as the Bica Funicular, The Santa Catarina Belvedere and the São Pedro de Alcantra Viewpoint, which is considered to be the best balcony of Lisbon.

The Chiado neighbourhood, which borders Bairro Alto, has become the centre of Portuguese Romanticism with The Largo do Carmo Square in the middle and the ruins of the Carmo Convent.  At the top of The Santa Justa elevator there are stunning views of downtown, the castle hill and the river.

Chiado is also famous for its theatres, bookshops and cafés.  Shopping consists of anything from international chain brands to art noveau jewelery shops and the most exclusive luxurious brands.

On the other side is the Principe Real neighborhood – famous for its exotic gardens and antique shops.  The famous Tram nº28 runs in-between Bairro Alto and Bica which is a great option for exploring the most picturesque neighborhoods of the city.

This rental apartment in Bairro Alto is also well-served with public transportation. Trams and buses run every minute. A metro station is about 5 minutes walking in Chiado as well as 24-hour taxi stands.  The Rossio train station is 5 minutes walking if you step down the Escadinhas do Duque. Here you can take trains to the fairy tale village of Sintra.
