Vacation Rental Description
Scandale Bridge Cottage is located in a fantastic central location for exploring the Lake District National Park. The traditional cottage is set in mature, peaceful gardens just a ten minute walk from the bustling market town of Ambleside. The house itself can sleep up to 7 people in 4 bedrooms on the first floor (2 doubles, 1 single and 1 twin room). The ground floor offers a very spacious living room complete with log fire and a large country kitchen and dining room. In the grounds of the cottage you'll find a delightful terrace area leading onto the mature gardens with a brook at the bottom of the garden, perfect for outdoor dining and children to play! There is parking available for up to five cars.
About Lake District Ambleside
Ambleside is an ideal location for exploring this delightful corner of England. The cottage is within walking distance of the town itself which is packed full of traditional shops, galleries, pubs & restaurants. The towns of Keswick, Grasmere and Windermere are all within a short drive and offer plenty to enjoy for the whole family. All around you are lakes and mountains with an enourmous range of activities from sailing to fell walking and canoeing to horseriding - whatever you enjoy, you'll find it all available right on your doorstop! And for rainy days, you can make full use of the nearby leisure centre with its gym, sauna, jacuzzi, steam room and swimming pool - all free of charge during your stay!
