About Koh Samui Hua Thanon

This holiday villa in Ko Samui is in Hua Thanon which is amongst the least developed part of Samui and is located along the beaches on the island's south west tip. Hua Thanon starts just beyond Hin Tin & Hin Yai and is quiet and home to one of Samui's last remaining traditional fishing fleets. The fishermen's elegantly painted kor lae boats are very photogenic. There are a few decent seafood restaurants by the side of the sea, which give you a taste of true Samui cuisine at bargain basement prices.

The island's main town Nathon is a 20 minute drive away by car or local bus. Nathon is a great place for souvenir hunting. There are also several supermarkets there. To the north are the villages of Maenam and Bophut, about a 30 minute drive away . Here arrangements can be made for sightseeing, boat trips, fishing trips, diving, snorkelling and many other activities. Bophut is a place not to miss whilst on the island. Bophut is a quaint fishing village.with wonderful beachside restaurants.

Chaweng, the island's main centre for night-life, is a 20 minute journey away. There is a also a new 18 hole golf course with spectacular island views. A car is essential for touring the island but there are frequent local buses available to go all round the island for a very small cost. Car rental can be arranged if required.
