Built of teak, local hardwoods, sandstone and slate, this holiday villa in Ko Samui embodies a simultaneously lavish yet earthy design, redolent of an island-style country residence. The 55sqm master bedroom on the ground floor opens onto a spacious private terrace. With its ensuite bathroom, chaise lounge, writing desk, and 21" cable TV, the large airy space makes a perfect hideaway within the villa. The room stays pleasantly cool either by using the air conditioner or, in the cooler seasons, by opening the sliding doors to let in the sea breezes.

Upstairs, each of the two 32 sqm bedrooms has a balcony, ensuite bathroom and a ceiling fan as well as air conditioner. All rooms have a refrigerator, mini bar, tea/coffee-making facilities and personal safe.

Ingeniously arrayed under a tall vaulted ceiling, the fully air conditioned open-plan living room, den and kitchen/dining area offer maximum space and function. The den has plenty of comfortable seating for reading or watching the 50" projection TV with its surround-sound speaker system. There is also a computer with broadband connection available as well as hi-fi connection for guests who have brought their own notebooks with wireless cards.

For those who prefer cooking at home, the European-style kitchen is fully equipped with all major appliances including a refrigerator, 4-burner stove and oven, microwave, toaster as well as utensils and cutlery.

This holiday villa in Koh Samui is near to Chaweng beach which is the longest beach on the island and the busiest. This is the centre for both entertainment and shopping. The beach offers fine white sand and excellent beach side restaurants. Just in from the beach, the main road is lined with the restaurants offering every imaginable cuisine (you can even find Japanese Sushi, Mexican and Thai food), numerous dive shops, and a few excellent open-air discotheques where you can revel enjoy your evening after having relaxation at the beach during the day.
