Honeymoon and Family Cottages:

The location is absolutely peaceful, with dense vegetations, paddy fields, pure air, and calm environment, which creates a superb leisure, relax, and rejuvenation destination with immaculate gardens.  It is a fully self-contained resort where all possible aspects of comfort and guest services have been considered.  Also, it is the best suited ideal location for creative writing and meditation.

 

The independently located honeymoon and family cottages are overlooking to the dense green paddy farms on one side and young swaying coconut palms on the rear side.  The ambience and the tranquil in the cottages will, definitely, lead you to unforgettable dreams and loving memories.  These concrete roof gabled buildings are architecturally designed by well known Kerala architects in order to meet the international codes and standards of tourism industry.  The coconut palms on the sides of Meenachil Branch River provide a special charm to the luring landscape.  Local vegetations include cloves, nutmegs, jack-fruit trees, bread-fruit trees, arecanut, coconut, cocoa, etc.. Cobbled pathways and rustic bridges are other aesthetic to the entity. Duly braided coconut palm leaves will provide a natural cooling to these cottages. Only home-made food will be served here.  The hygienically controlled entire property is eco-friendly.

 

The amenities included in each cottage are separate kitchen facilities, attached toilets, plenty of open spaces and courtyards in order to enjoy the wind or Monsoon seasons.   The uniquely designed interior has been converted it into an elegant suite.  The very spacious family guest rooms are fully equipped with all the modern facilities such as refrigerator, multi-channeled TV, VCD, cane furniture, and crockery (Kooja and Kudam), to make you feel home away from home.  Verandahs have a stunning view of the paddy farms and are the very best for bird watching.

About Kerala Kottayam

Chengalam Village:

Chengalam is a small hamlet located at the close neighborhood of Kumarakom, and it belongs to Thiruvarpu panchayat vicinity (Kottayam town of Kerala state).  One of the Meenachil River branches is flowing through this village and it joins to Kumarakom Vembanad Lake. This village consists of two types of terrestrials. The area near Kumarakom is a part of Upper Kuttanad with full of paddy fields, banana and coconut plantations, and canals.  The north is hilly area and is known as Kunnumpuram. 

 

Kumarakom:

Kumarakom is not only the most exotic Touristic destination, but also the most sought after joyous holiday paradise in Kerala.  Kumarakom set in the heart of the backwaters of Kerala is breathtakingly beautiful with its meandering canals, beautiful coconut groves and lush paddy fields. We either provide you with a country-craft (Vallam) as your own; or with a local guide, who will take you through these zigzag canals as well to Kumarakom Vembanad Lake (the biggest natural lake in South India).  This Vembanad Lake is a confluence of four major rivers, viz: Meenachil, Pampa, Manimala, and Achankovil.  Also, we will arrange cruise or boating facilities to Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, Pathiramanal (Midnight Land), R-Block Lake, and Punnamadakkayal (venue of Nehru Trophy boat race).  Ferry services will be available from Kumarakom Jetty to Pathiramanal and Muhamma Jetty.  Also Ferry services from Kottayam Jetty to Allepppey Jetty are a scenic and pleasant one.

Notes on Prices

1. Ayurveda:

   Special arrangements will be provided via well-famous ayurvedic hospitals for those who require massaging, panchakarma, and other pertinent ayurvedic treatments, which are obviously result-oriented for physical rejuvenation and enables to regain youthfulness even for aged people.

    

2. Backwater:

   After harvesting, these paddy fields will be filled with water and become backwater for six months every year.
