Vacation Rental Description

El Ladero Grande is situated in the pretty, tradtional village of Guejar Sierra in a stunning location in the heart of the beautiful Sierra Nevada National Park - but still only 20 mins from historic Granada and the Alhambra Palace. This property is a great base for enjoying the best of real traditional Spain and a stunning location, combined with all conveniences and comforts such as dedicated, secure parking, air-conditioning in summer and central heating in winter. It is a spacious, luxury apartment with 3 double bedrooms (two with double beds, one with twin beds), 2 bathrooms and a dual-aspect living room with balcony and wraparound views of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. The views can also be enjoyed from the apartment's huge south-facing terrace (with both sunny and shady areas) which is well equipped with daybed, recliners, table and chairs for 6, BBQ etc. The sunny Master bedroom suite opens onto the terrace and has its own shower room with a good shower. There is also a family-sized bathroom with bath and shower over. Fixtures and furnishings in all rooms are of high standard. The kitchen is well equipped for 6 people with hob/oven, extractor, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and electric juicer(to take advantage of the famously sweet and abundant oranges of the Granada area). Additional items such as hairdryer, iron etc are provided. We can also provide a travel cot and highchair seat adaptor on request. For groups of more than 6 people, this apartment can be rented in conjunction with the 1 bedroom apartment of similar style and standard next door (which sleeps up to another 4 people with use of the double sofa-bed).

About Granada Other

Situated in the pretty, flower-draped town of Güejar Sierra within a stone's throw of a variety of interesting local bars and restaurants (many of which open up pools for customers in the summer), El Ladero Grande is perfectly situated. Historic Granada with the famous Alhambra Palace is only 20 minutes away, and the Sierra Nevada ski resort 25 - 35 minutes (to be reduced to 20 minutes with the completion of the new link road). Stunning walks & countryside activities (fishing, birdwatching, climbing, canoeing, canyoning, cross country skiing paragliding etc) all begin literally on the doorstep. The fascinating troglodyte region around Guadix is close at hand and the beaches of the Costa Tropical can be reached within 45 minutes. There are some excellent restaurants within 5 mins stroll of the apartment, or for those who prefer to cook for themselves fresh produce can be bought in the local shops. There is a wonderful summer fiesta in August with horse events, processions, events for children and free food, sangria and dancing in the village square.
