This is our summer vacation home, so we've furnished and decorated it for our own use as well as our guests. This means you'll find extra amenities, such as nice decorations, a very fully furnished kitchen, nice patio furniture on our patio, a private hot tub and gas BBQ on our patio, a large 8 pair boot dryer, 3 TV/VCR's, 2 DVD players, a 5 disc changer stereo, plus a nice assortment of both DVD and VHS movies for your entertainment.
The Whistler holiday apartment is the quiet end unit, on the ground floor (with no one above), and it's nestled up against the treed hillside and the ski run "Home Run", so you have lots of privacy and a very nice setting. The master bedroom is upstairs and includes a queen sized bed, a private bath with a jetted tub, heated slate floors, and a mountain view, private balcony deck. Downstairs one guest room has 2 twin beds that we can convert to a king bed for you upon request, and the second guest room has a queen bed with an extra-long twin over bunk.
The downstairs bath is adjacent to both bedrooms and includes a double shower and heated slate floors. Our home has undergone a major remodeling project, in which we added heated slate flooring to the entry, hall, living, dining, kitchen and both baths; a new, large, dual-headed slate shower in the main bath and slate surround in the master bath; granite countertops in the kitchen and both baths; all new stainless appliances; and a new built-in entertainment center in the master bedroom, and it's been completely repainted, so it's in pristine condition. We provide a free, reserved, secure parking space. Also, the free Village Shuttle picks up about 200 feet from our curb for a quick ride down the street to the Village, and runs by every 6-10 minutes during the ski season. We have free, high speed DSL, wireless, internet service. We have connections for discounted lift tickets, ski rental equipment, lessons, and transportation from Vancouver to Whistler. We also provide a free concierge service. Shirley Hills, the owner of Peak to Creek Concierge Service, is available to help you with all of your Whistler needs both before and during your stay. She can pre-purchase lift tickets and/or groceries and have them waiting for you, she can arrange transportation to and from Vancouver, make restaurant reservations, reserve rental equipment, make ski lessons reservations, child care reservations, etc.
For your convenience we accept Visa, MasterCard, or American Express, and since we have our own credit card program, we can give you the option of dividing the bill among your party if you prefer.
I don't know how familiar you are with Whistler, so if I don't provide a sufficient amount of information, don't hesitate to ask for more details.Whistler has a number of complexes that are considered "ski-in / ski-out", mostly on Blackcomb, although there are several on Whistler and several in Creekside (about 5 miles south of Whistler Village). Some of these complexes border the ski hill, but there are only a handful where you can actually walk out the door and put your skis on and go down the hill. Even with the complexes that are right on the ski slope, unless you are that lucky person in the building that borders the slope, you'll have to walk around the building or upstairs, etc.
There are also a few complexes in the Village which are within a couple blocks of the lifts, so you would have a short walk there, too.Arrowhead Point on a map is at the end of "Painted Cliff Road". There are only 2 complexes higher in elevation. If you were to stand at the base of Blackcomb looking up the hill, these "ski-in / ski-out" complexes are on both sides of the hill. If you were to ride the Wizard Express chair lift up to the 6th support pole, and if you could, leaped off the chair lift, you would be at the elevation of Arrowhead Point, and about 500 feet from our front door. This is the point that you would strap on your skis when you leave our condo, so you have a couple minute walk, about 200 paces, fairly level. When you return to the condo after skiing, you can either take this same route, or you can ski down "Home Run", which will lead you right to our back door. This is an official Whistler-Blackcomb ski run (I have a picture of the sign on our web site), and depending on conditions, it's usually open between opening day and the end of March. Our condo is the end unit, so you can literally ski to our back door.In the summer, it's a 7 minute walk from our front door, down underneath the chair lift, to the Upper Village (Base of Blackcomb). From here, it's 4-5 minutes further to Whistler Village.
There is also a free shuttle bus that runs by every 6-10 minutes in the winter and on a schedule in the summer (more like 15 minutes apart), with a stop right outside our complex. The children's ski school meets at the base of Blackcomb, so we're real convenient for the kids. From Arrowhead Point, it's a 1 mile walk to Lost Lake, a great place for a summer picnic or swim.
