Outdoor showers, spacious verandahs and art offer a luxurious tropical lifestyle ambience. Trees and plants create natural screens and a high degree of privacy. Aswem beach where Kaju Varo is located is the happening, jet set, yet tranquil beach in North Goa. Famous writers and Hollywood and Bollywood stars are seen here every season, rubbing shoulders with baba cool hippies. La Plage the celebrity haunted French on-the-beach restauarant and Shanti Bar the trendy music club are within walking distance. Guests with an interest in boating, sailing and angling have good locations close by. It is also within reasonable driving distance - 30 mins - of conventional North Goa night life.
