Vacation Rental Description

A unique spot on the earth, Nectar Cottage lies in the only village inside a South African National Park: Nature’s Valley on the Garden Route, which is surrounded on all sides by nature: a 100 paces from the pristine beach, a beautiful river lagoon, and the Tsitsikamma forest.

Nectar Cottage is ideally located in Nature's Valley as it has ready access to the beach and is about 200 metres from the local shop and restaurant. The master bedroom has a private terrace with sea views and the two bedrooms downstairs also share a private terrace and both have separate entrances. Nectar is very homely and all the extra touches are there to make you feel right at home: games, books and magazines, music, a very well equipped kitchen, and expect those things you expect at home such as dishwasher soap and washing-up liquid and loo paper!

This large Garden Route house is spacious and sleeps 8 persons. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms plus an extra separate toilet and outdoor shower, lounge, kitchen, terraces and large garden with BBQ. if you have extra peopel or guests, no problem. The sitting room sofas double as extra beds and we supply 2 extra duvets and linen (for 10 persons in total). In summer enjoy the large Braai/BBQ area and in winter the warm open fireplace. Cleaning service available on request.

Nature’s Valley offers a myriad of activities in the area such as swimming, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, cycling, birding, whale watching, diving, fishing, shark diving, sailing, cruising, paragliding, parasailing, micro lighting, abseiling, bungee jumping (the highest in the world, a breathtaking 216 metres for a full 7 seconds), and visits to numerous nearby parks and resorts. Monkeyland, Birds of Eden (with the world's largest dome which spans a gorge of indigenous forest) and the Elephant park are all within 15 km of Nature's Valley.

Next door to Nature's Valley is Stormsriver with its rugged coast, swing bridges and panaramic restaurants. Plettenberg Bay, South Africa's foremost nightlife town with its 130 restaurants is just 30 km away and 40 km further you have the bustling town of Knysna. North of Nature's Valley is Oudtshoorn with the world-famous Cango Caves and ostriches, and the Route 62, perhaps the most diverse wine region in South Africa. This is truly and area where you can idly watch whales and dolphins while lazing on the quiet beach or venture out for a new experience every day.
