The Florence apartment rental is located in Piazza Santa Croce, a huge rectangular square that was created in front of the Franciscan Basilica in Florence. The whole Santa Croce is medieval in origin which can be clearly seen in many of the buildings surrounding the piazza. The church, Santa Croce, is the church of the Franciscans in Florence and is one of the finest examples of Italian Gothic architecture. Building started in 1294 and was eventually completed two hundred years later in 1442.
