The luxurious Florence holiday rental has recently been restored with a traditional touch mixed with modern convenience. The apartment includes access to a large furnished terrace with impressive views of the Arno River up to Piazzale Michelangelo.

Both the kitchen and the bathroom come with new, modern fixtures. The kitchen includes a washing machine and is ideal for cooking a lovely meal.

The Florence apartment is located in the heart of Florence, close to Piazza Santa Croce, the National Library and just a step away from Ponte Vecchio and the famous Uffizi Gallery.

Piazza Santa Croce is a huge huge rectangular square that was created in front of the Franciscan Basilica. The whole area is medieval in origin which can be can clearly seen in many of the architecture surrounding the piazza. The church, Santa Croce, is the church of the Franciscans in Florence and is one of the finest examples of Italian Gothic architecture. Building started in 1294 and was eventually completed in 1442. Here you'll find on the walls masterpieces of Tuscan Gothic or proto-Renaissance painting: the Bardi and Peruzzi chapels' frescoes are by Giotto; the Baroncelli Chapel has frescoes by Taddeo Gaddi and a polyptych by Agnolo Gaddi, who also did the frescoes in the Castellani Chapel.
