This Florence holiday apartment located in the heart of the Santa Croce district and is for those people who are looking for a quiet place yet in a central location. This Florence apartment is located in a period building with a large and prestigious entrance. The accommodation is warm and elegant with antique furniture, paintings, wooden beamed ceilings and Florentine "cotto" flooring.

This rental apartment is located inside the pedestrian area of the historical centre of Florence and is 10 minutes walk to the Duomo.

This Florence apartment has two large double bedrooms located in an attic area. There is also an additional bedroom with twin beds. There's a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a shower.

About Florence Santa Croce

Piazza Santa Croce is a huge huge rectangular square that was created in front of the Franciscan Basilica. The whole area is medieval in origin which can be can clearly seen in many of the architecture surrounding the piazza. The church, Santa Croce, is the church of the Franciscans in Florence and is one of the finest examples of Italian Gothic architecture. Building started in 1294 and was eventually completed in 1442. Here you'll find on the walls masterpieces of Tuscan Gothic or proto-Renaissance painting: the Bardi and Peruzzi chapels' frescoes are by Giotto; the Baroncelli Chapel has frescoes by Taddeo Gaddi and a polyptych by Agnolo Gaddi, who also did the frescoes in the Castellani Chapel.

Florence: the capital of Italian Renaissance. You will be surrounded by works of art and buildings of great historic and architectural prestige, which range in time from the medieval period to the XXth century. Michelangelo, Raffaello, Leonardo, Donatello, Botticelli, Giotto and Cimabue are just a few of the greatest artists of whom you can appreciate the works here. Placed along the Arno River, and surrounded by characteristic hills, Florence is also the perfect starting point for excursions in the marvellous Tuscan countryside.
