Bed & Breakfast Description

Glenalmond House guest house offers bed and breakfast accommodation (lodgings) in a beautiful, detached Victorian house, in the historic Scottish capital city of Edinburgh. We are 4 star rated by VisitScotland and have private, off-street car parking, free of charge for our guests. All rooms are en-suite with a choice of single, double , twin, triple and quadruple rooms, on ground and first floor level.

Three of the rooms are deluxe standard, with beautiful mahogany furnishings, including king-size 4-poster or Rococco beds. They also have digital LCD TV. We are located just over a mile from the main tourist attractions, such as Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile. There are many cheap and frequent buses running from early in the morning to late in the evening and all night, from here into the town centre and all the main visitor attractions.

About Edinburgh Around the Center

Located in the popular Southside of Edinburgh, Glenalmond House is close to Cameron Toll shopping Centre and only a mile from the historic Royal Mile where the main tourist attractions can be found, including Edinburgh Castle. Holyrood Park is a 10 minute walk where you can climb Arthur's Seat for spectacular views of the city and surrounding areas. Also in the park is Holyrood Palace. The Southside area has a wide variety of bars and restaurants to choose from, with many types of food on offer. The Royal Commonealth Pool is a sports centre 10 minutes walk away from the guest house, offering an olympic sized swimming pool, large, well equipped gym and a wide variety of exercise classes.
