Bed & Breakfast Description

This holiday Bed & Breakfast in Edinburgh is a family run Victorian detached guest house situated one mile from Edinburgh City Centre. Within the 19th century exterior you will find quality cornicing and many more original features. The accommodation has all you need for a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere, including wireless free internet and residents lounge where you may enjoy the ambience from our antique leather Chesterfields. Free secure residents parking available.

We endeavor to make our rooms as comfortable as possible, but please keep in mind we are a guest house, so apart from the family rooms and Four poster room, our rooms are not large. All rooms are equipped with central heating, wash hand basins, colour television, coffee table and armchairs, radio/alarms, hair driers and hospitality trays.

Also available our Jacobean 4-poster bed with ensuite, and a large breakfast selection. The furniture is all hand carved solid mahogany. The bed is a king size four poster with a panelled canopy. Guests enjoy an LCD 26inch TV with digital box integrated Bose wave stereo - with a large collection of classical CDs on shelf with a selection of binding books. All room lighting is on dimmer switches (controlled either from the door or at your bedside). All materials and fabrics are of a very high standard, featuring linen Egyptian cotton.

The family rooms have 1 double bed and 2 single beds, suitable for a total of 5 people. Rooms enjoy either a view to nearby Arthur's Seat or to the walled gardens. Groups of up to 23 persons can be catered for and your own set of keys will ensure access at all times.

Located near the spectacular Arthur's Seat in the popular Newington area of Edinburgh, we are only 15-25 minutes walk from the heart of Edinburgh with its many unique and wonderful attractions, including: Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, Princess Street, Holyrood Park and Palace and the many other visitor attractions in Edinburgh.

We are also within easy reach of Edinburgh University , Pollock halls, Kings Buildings, Royal Observatory, Little France Hospital, Peffermill playing fields, the Royal Infirmary and the Scottish Parliament. Edinburgh is rightly regarded as one of the finest cities in the World.
