International Berlin beer festival

The International Berlin Beer Festival is held early August and this year, the 12th International Berlin Beer Festival takes place from August 1th – 3th, 2008.

If you like your beer, the the German's love it, this is the place for you. With over 240 breweries from 80 countries presenting 1750 different brands of beer, there's enough beer to keep even the most fervent connoisseur happy.

The Berlin “beer mile” is held right in the center of the city and is a stretches 2.2 km long making it the “longest beer garden of the world”. From Frankfurter Tor to Strausberger Platz stretching along Karl-Marx-Allee in Berlin Friedrichshain.

Last year a huge 750,000 visitors came to the festival and enjoyed cultural and culinary specialities aswell as inexhaustible varieties of beer. Not only is it a great folk festival, you can also take in live music on 18 stages. Admission is free.
