Bang Tao Beach, Phuket (Part 2)
If you're a golfer, the Laguna Phuket Golf Club was voted Top Ten for Best Golf Resort in Asia, Best Clubhouse in Asia and Best Golf Courses in Thailand by readers of Asian Golf Monthly magazine. It's an 18-hole, par-71 resort course, designed by Max Wexler and David Abell.
However, if you want to relax, it's not difficult to find a quiet spot to enjoy the crystal clear water and stunning white sand and if you want the beach to yourself, walk to the northern end
where its much quieter.
The nightlife in Bang Tao is more subdued than Patong and Surin and the atmosphere is more geared towards familles. There are bars within the Laguna as well as a good selection just outside the entrance and a few bars on the beach. Two of the best restaurants in the area are Babylon Beach Club and 360 Bar and Dining and if you really want to party, head for Surin Beach which is only a 10 minute walk along the coast.
