Havana is probably the most exciting city in Latin America managing to be both seedy and stylish. The province owes its growth and prosperity to the almost natural perfection of its harbour.

Varadero began to be developed as a summer vacation resort in the 1940s, but it wasn't until the last ten years that its network of hotels and other facilities was given an unprecedented boost. Its tourist offer was diversified and upgraded at the same time.

Its main attraction has always been its marvellous beach, but this isn't all it has to offer. You can explore its caves and escarpments, a necklace of virgin cays that are easy to get to and the carefully preserved natural landscape at the northeastern end of the peninsula.

Trinidad is the most central province of Cuba and its northern and southern coastlines are washed by the waters of the Atlantic and the Caribbean respectively.

Tourism seem set to replace sugar and tobacco as the primer source of wealth creation in the Sancti Spiritus economy.

The jewel in the provincial crown is, however, the beautiful and historic city of Trinidad, a UNESCO-protected national monument, recognised as one of the most charming cities in the whole of the Caribbean and Latin America.Some of Cuba's finest beaches are just outside Trinidad.
