This holIday villa in Provence is situated in the charming medieval village of Callian, built around its castle, overlooks the Estérel plain to the south, and Alps foothills to the north. Situated between Draguignan and Grasse, the perfume town this village is one of the oldest in Var, and is renowned for its tranquillity and a good starting place for many hikes and walks. Surrounded by wooded hills, and close to Lake Saint Cassien for fishing and watersports.

Grasses’s historical town consists of a winding network of streets spilling over a hilltop and reined over the town’s cathedral. The immediate countryside is dominated by olive trees and (of course) fields of flowers. Grasse has good connections to Nice, Cannes and the rest of the Cote d’ Azur. Before you leave don’t forget to try the fougassette, a thin and light oval shaped brioche pierced with 7 holes and flavoured with orange blossom.

Draguignan is a full-of-character town that is slowly upping its cultural ante. Don’t miss the Saturday market, which is considered one of the best in the region and other attractions include Museum of Traditional Arts and Crafts and the American War Cemetery.
