Vacation Rental Description

Located in tranquil Playa Grande, Casa Kalumina is the perfect home for a vacation getaway. Sleeping groups to 12, the property consists of a main house (3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms)and the semi-attached guest quarters which features a bedroom/bathroom suite. The garden showcases many tropical plants, iguanas & birds and the white sands of Playa Grande are just a minute away.

Casa Kalumina has a total of 1 king bed, 3 queen beds and 3 sets of bunk beds. All rooms feature A/C and linens are provided. The two bathrooms in the main house include double sinks, bath & beach towels. The large outdoor patio, which overlooks the pool, is a great cooking/eating area; featuring a large gas BBQ with griddle, dining table, conversation area & hammocks.

About Costa Rica Playa Grande

Playa Grande is a tranquil beach community located on the Pacific Coast. Just north of Tamarindo, much of the area is protected as part of Las Baulas National Park. Boasting world class waves, a pristine beach, and one of the most important nesting sites of the Leatherback (La Baula), the largest sea turtle in the world.

Playa Grande has a very laid-back vibe and offers a nice selection of restaurants and two surf shops. Banking, shopping, nightlife & medical services are located in nearby Tamarindo, accessible via boat taxi during the day or a 25 minute drive.

Many tours and activities can be enjoyed in our area; see the nesting of the Leatherback (Oct - Feb only), horseback riding, estuary tour, surf lessons & board rentals, ATV tours, canopy zip line tours, snorkel/sunset sails, SCUBA diving, deep sea fishing, day trips and more.
