Vacation Rental Description

Our Cape Cod house is set in the quiet woods of Wellfleet, within walking distance of the best of the Cape Cod beaches and ponds. It is a truly beautiful property and house in a peaceful Cape Cod setting. We are about half a mile down the main route 6 from Wellfleet Center, on the beach side. Our road, just off of Oceanview drive with the White Crest and Beachcomber beaches leads to Duck Pond, Great Pond, and our small dirt driveway.

It is close to the beaches and the center of town, but set back enough to be completely private and peaceful. The large wrap-around porch, picnic table, furniture and grill make it ideal for perfect Cape Cod mornings and evenings with kids, entertaining and relaxing outside. The main room with the kitchen attached is glassed in on two sides with high ceilings to create a beautiful social space that looks right onto the porch. It is a house and a property that has been cared for and used by our family for over 25 years, and is one of the most untouched areas of the cape left.

This beautiful 3 bedroom house easily sleeps 6, with a large master bedroom and 2 others with 2 twins each, and room for more on two couches. It has 2 full bathrooms along with a protected and pristine outdoor shower. It is a split-level with an L-shape that keeps the living space private from the common space. The long dirt driveway sets it back from the road.

About Cooking Holidays Wellfleet

Wellfleet is most of the way out on Cape Cod, just before Truro and only a few miles more on to Provincetown. This part of the Cape is one of the only quiet and protected areas left, with a great mix of restaurants, shopping, art and beaches. The restaurants range from four stars to lobster on paper plates, but all family owned and most offering famous Wellfleet oysters. Commercial Street is home to many art galleries, with openings weekly durning the summer, bringing young and old out to walk the streets enjoying art, hors d'oeuvres and wine tasting. Wellfleet is known for its beaches where you can surf, swim and play all day, and then wrinse off the sand and salt in one of its 'kettle ponds'. The bike trail is right near the house, and stretches down the Cape.

Wellfleet has a small town feel, with all of the restaurants and art galleries that you could ever want. Families, couples and groups of friends will all find things to do, from the Wellfleet Harbour Actors Theater, the Drive-In movies, the Beachcomber Club and Restaurant, the galleries, ice cream shops and other great restaurants.

It is the best place on Cape Cod, and this house has access to it all while giving you the privacy that you want on vacation.
