The "Quinta do Covanco" is a rural estate boasting several centuries of history.This Lisbon accommodation is situated in the historic municipality of Alenquer, and characterised by a rustic architectural style deriving from the farming activities pioneered here in the past - most notably the growing of wines. The farm is able to offer you the pleasure of comfortable accommodation, the tranquil surrounding countryside and a relaxed family atmosphere where you will have the chance to experience tasty home-cooked meals.

In Alenquer where if it detaches the "Presépio" Village - Alenquer - there are several places worth visiting, such are the case of the City council, of the Museum Hipólito Cabaço where if it will be able to observe parts of the palaeolithic period and the ruins of the Castle where still today remains the Tower.

It equally exists scripts on the churches in which if it detaches the Church of S. Francisco and of Meca, the Route of the Mills and the Route of the Wine and the Vine where you can taste some of the best wines of the region. The Ascensão (May) fair, the horse fair and the wine fair (September) are two chances in which the guests could know not only the gastronomy and the handicrafts.

For the sea lovers, there are the beaches of the West Coast, where there is the possibility to enjoy of beautiful beaches like the beach of the Consolação and of Peniche and to practise innumerable nautical sports - diving, fish porting, surf and canoeing.

Golf players have an excellent opportunity to practise golf in the west, specially in the Golden Eagle at Rio Maior.
