Bed & Breakfast Description

The B&B ART is a charming bed and breakfast located in an ancient palace which was recently restored in San Casciano Val di Pesa. The palace was built during the 14th century adjacent to the walls which surround the Medieval city of San Casciano Val di Pesa. It was originally a hospital for the neighbouring Benedictine monastery of Santa Maria del Gesù. For several centuries it accommodated monastery guests and pilgrims. Subsequently it became a popular public guesthouse until the Second World War when it was partially destroyed by bombing. Today the palace houses the elegant and refined B&B ART. 

About Cooking Holidays Chianti

San Casciano is a quiet city conveniently situated in the heart of the Chianti Classico region, within easy reach of the most important tourist sites of Tuscany. It is close to Florence, which is only 15 kilometres away. For those without a car, bus service is available from San Casciano Val di Pesa to Florence main railway station, Siena and various other famous tourist sites. The bus stop is a few metres from the B&B ART entrance. Shops, parking, bars and good restaurants are located close to the B&B.
