Review:
We were very pleased with the Apartment. Milvio Giardino was excellent although we would have benefited from being a bit closer to the centre of town. That said we soon established the routine of walking across Padlock Bridge (Milvio Bridge) and catching a No 2 Tram to Flaminio which gives easy access to other links or pleasant walking on Via Corso. Our Landlord, Franceso Gelosi, greeted us well, showed us where everything was and then left us alone. The Apartment was well equipped and very comfortable and ideal for our needs. There was even fresh milk in the fridge for “The British Cup of Tea” and a few other foodstuffs. A choice of small supermarkets enabled us to restock victuals as required. Also the easy access to a Pharmacy was valuable on one occasion. We were very pleased that we booked a car through you from the Airport. This undoubtedly saved us considerable time and pain and we immediately made arrangements to be delivered to the Airport at the end of our stay.

Review:
The apartment was clean and well-furnished. We were met by Mr. Gelosi and he was very helpful and answered our questions well. We were very close to a supermarket and although the place is not in the historic center, it was not a bad commute. The taxi fare from the apartment to Piazza Navona is only about 15 euros, around 18-20 euros to go to the Vatican. The only thing it lacked were the kitchen utensils; there were only two pieces and I had to make do with it everytime I cooked a meal. Some pots and pans need to be replaced because they look old and worn out. I had to wash the forks, spoons, knives before using them as they were dusty. But these are minor things that the owner could easily replace and make sure that are clean and ready for use for the next renters. Over all we had a very good stay. Mr. Gelosi seems to have thought of the comforts of the renters (aside from that minor kitchen stuff) by having sufficient toilet paper, towels, pillows, plates, glasses, etc. We will use Holiday Velvet again when we make anohter trip to Italy or anywhere in Europe.
