- Everything went very smoothly with our stay in the lovely Navona Attico. The apartment and its incredibly charming neighborhood made our five days in Rome SO much more pleasant than staying in a hotel with a lot of other tourists. The place was spotlessly clean, adorable, and in the best little neighborhood filled with local residents and small businesses but right near the big sights. The kitchenette is very small, but met our needs of making some coffee and having a snack or a nightcap - you could cook a simple meal there for sure. The views from the apartment are charming, and it was just right for two friends traveling together as we each had our own beautifully furnished bedroom and lovely renovated bathroom. The only glitch we had was that the front door lock got jammed the first night we were there, but one of the tenants helped us get in touch with the owner, and let us back in after we went out for dinner that night - the lock was fixed first thing the next day, and we had a new friend in the building! It was absolutely the best, I hope to stay in the apartment again the next time I'm in Rome. I can't say enough about the charms of the neighborhood, the good (and inexpensive) local restaurants, the terrific grocery store on the Tor Millina. . .just fantastic.
