Review:
we found the aprtment to be excellent value for money and in a terrific location. The aprtment was close to public transport and easy access to the airport. The location so close to Taksim Square allowed us to balance of the tourist sights but also to experience a local neighbourhood. The aprtment was close to resturants and markets so we could self cater. The washing machine was a bonus after travelling for several weeks. The apartment was very clean and well equipped. Marco and tanr where excellent hosts nothing was too much trouble and all correspondence was very prompt. Thoroughly recommend this apartment.

Review:
My family and I have stayed for 5 days in Istanbul, during late November 2008. Marco (the host) was an excellent host, and made everything possible to make our stay as nice as possible. This could be seen even form the time when we were trying to find an accommodation in Istanbul. Marco answered our e-mail in just minutes after we have sent it, and provided all the required information (like extra photos needed to give us a better image of the apartment). We wanted to stay in an apartment and not in a hotel because it gives you more of an authentic feeling. You can easily blend in with the locals and you no longer feel just a tourist but you start to feel among old friends. The apartment is situated on a picturesque street, just minutes away by foot from the Galatasaray High School and the main commercial street of Beyoglu, called Istiklal Street. The house is small on the outside, but don’t let this thing fool you, because the apartment is very comfortable and stylish decorated. There are many nice paintings on the walls, made by one of Marco’s friends. The apartment it is very clean and intimate, it give you a feeling of being right home. There is a mosque near by, and this only adds to the charm because you can sit on the balcony, admire the view over Istanbul while drinking your tea, and hear the imam calling the right believers to prayer. There is a TV, DVD player and a wireless Internet connection. This proved very helpful since I managed to stay in touch with all my friends back home. Marco has an excellent command of at least three languages: English, Italian and Turkish so there is no way you could not communicate with him. If you choose this apartment, please ask Marco about directions to American Pazari – it’s really the best place in the neighborhood and possibly in all Istanbul where you can enjoy a narghile. Bottom line: I have already recommended this apartment to all of my friends, and next time when I come in Istanbul I know where to stay. Did I mention it is an excellent value for money? Regards to all the readers, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
