Everything worked really well for our short break to this apartment. The owner was helpful with bus routes and we enjoyed food from the local market round the corner. The apartment was good value for money and only a few minutes walk to the Vatican and also regular buses into the town centre.

Our first contact with the appartment was through the concierge: when we arrived by taxi from the airport (about a 20 minute ride), the concierge, seeing us get out of the car with our luggage in front of the building, approached and asked me what apartment we were renting, and then very obligingly rang up Signora Trevisone on our behalf. Waiting outside the front entrance, we took in all the green shrubbery, and the many lovely flowers in bloom. Signora Trevisone, arrived a few minutes later, and unlocking a very sturdy metal security grill, she took us up by elevator to the apartment on the 3rd floor. The foyer of the building was spacious, quite and clean. Our first impression of the appartment was one of great satisfaction: ceramic floors, high ceilings, three spacious, clean, fully furnished, "homey" feeling bedrooms, beautifully decorated with scuptures, various objets d'art, and most pleasingly, some of Signor Trevisone's paintings. One bedroom had a large library with many volumes in Italian, French, English and German. The beds were all made, the linen clean and cool looking, and after having tried them out, we were happy to report to one another, that the beds were big and confortable. The salon with couch, easy-chairs, dining table, chairs, TV, big windows which we could open and close, and a large floor fan, from the moment we were installed, became our family meeting place. It was cool, spacious, and in every respect, confortable. We would gather there in the morning to talk about the coming plans for the day; and we would finish the day there, to share with each other the individual highlights of our Roman experience. The 2 bathrooms were spacious and clean, furnished with clean towels and face-cloths. One bathroom has a tub, with a flexible shower hose, which allows one to take a sitz-bath, or to shower while lieing down in the tub. Both bathrooms have large windows which can be opened and closed. The kitchen was wonderful: gas range, fridge, spacious cupboards, large sink. We were able to cook, keep food, prepare snacks, tea and coffe at our convenience, and in economical fashion. In the evening, I took to sitting out on the balcony, reading or snacking, enjoying the evening cool, along with the sights, sounds and smells of Rome. The apartment is ideally located: a few doorways down there is a café-terrasse-restaurant with authentic Italian fare, a deli, and an outdoor market/flea market. We went there every morning, and spent a fabulous time, purchasing Italian specialties: salted capers, prepared anchovies, local fruit, zuccini flower-tops, italian tomatos, etc. I'll briefly mention an internet café, not far from the apartment, 2 supermarkets, ice-cream places, and restaurants galore. Bus service to the Vatican and other points Roman is inexpensive, rapid and close by. Saint Peter's square is 15 minutes by foot from the apartment. The walk is enjoyable, for as you approch the square, the Basilica looms larger and larger, making for a very impressive entrance to the Rome of one's imagination. Finally, we cannot express enough our appreciation for the hospitality and friendlyness which Signora and Signor Trevisone showed us - they made us feel welcome and appreciated as guests in their home, city and country. They invited us to phone them at any time, should there be any problems or requests we wished to make of them. The urban setting; the physical structure, layout, and space of the apartment; its maintenance, upkeep, furnishings and decoration met and surpassed our expectations. We have already recommended the Trevisone apartment to friends and colleagues who have enquired about our stay in Rome. To sum up, we have nothing but praise for the Trevisone appartment, and all that it offers to visitors to Rome. --------------------------------------------------- Dear James, I would also like to thank Holiday Velvet, and you personally for the wonderful familly vacation which your diligent work and professional skills allowed us to enjoy. Should you need to contact me again for any reason, please do not hesitate to to so. Take care, Ken

James, You've been on my list to contact and thank ever since we landed back home, but our 5 inches of snow every other day has eaten up any spare moments I have in a day. About our stay... The apartment was exactly what we'd anticipated and suited our family's needs to the letter once we got used to the shower set-up. Any shower issues we experienced were compensated by the service we received. The Trevisone's were wonderful people; very helpful , friendly, and courteous. The apartment was very clean, the neighborhood was nice and easy to get around. Your assistance in coordinating airport pick-up/drop-off was extremely helpful for our group-thanks much for this. We particularly loved the proximity of the apartment to the bus stop, neighborhood market, Vatican, and our morning cappuccino and bakery at Cafe Grecco. We're looking forward to a return visit and will be sure to get in touch with you when we do. Thanks very much and Buon Natale! Tony

The property was excellent, a large size and very clean. Landlord was very helpful. Could have done with a little more 'local' information (supermarkets, cafe's, bars etc). Good location only 20 mins walk to the Vatican.
